  1. Agreed, for glass out paint job appears nothing underneath was cleaned or prepped . I would want to see in person before purchase. I have a feeling he's pretty proud of his work. Good Luck with this.
  2. Same as Mike's experience. Sand fit, sand fit. Joys of a 50 year old car.
  3. Condor Speed Shop carries very similar $25. I have them on my 02 and have used them for tie down on a trailer with no problems. BMW Tow Hooks | Trailer Tie Downs | BMW Performance Upgrades WWW.CONDORSPEEDSHOP.COM Minimize damage on your brake lines by purchasing Condor Speed Shop DTM Tow hooks and trailer tie downs. 4. @Howardpowered posted this a couple days ago. Was going to ask about a review.
  5. I have a battery kill switch. I also bought "The Club" for like seven dollars, mostly for a visual deterrent . I'm thinking of getting the wifi 123 distributer over the winter. I like the PIN feature to disable the ignition. Also might get an Apple Air Tag. I lust after an e30 M3 but struggle if the paranoia of owning one will out way the enjoyment.
  6. Agreed to it being a later front nose piece. As that has been stated here most likely front end damage and replaced with whatever they could find at the time. Correct nose piece is available from MVP for $895. plus add $$$ the grill plus paint and bodywork. Fixable yes but not cheap. Question would be price of the 2002, overall shape and what do you want to do with the car ? Just drive it or try and restore it .
  7. This and the amount of water that gets in the trunk when I wash it. I think mine is vented enough.🙁
  8. Mine is kinda like a puppy, needs constant attention and known to leave a puddle on the floor every now and then. It followed me home and women think it's cute.
  9. I have lusted at that car on more than one occasion. Stunning
  10. I think my Son summed it up best. "For all the comotion were not going very fast"
  11. PO had mounted battery in trunk. Mine is grounded to the shock tower. I've had zero problems so far, three years. My E39 Touring has the battery in the far back corner with a 6" ground with a 10mm bolt thats it from factory. Future plan is to mount a battery under rear seat to claim back the trunk space. Your car do as you please I think. Looks like you did a nice job.
  12. I think that is how the parking brake cable attaches to brake caliber. If serious about the kit I'm sure Blunt would answer any question.
  13. My guess is older MSW Wheels. http://www.2002parts.com/bmw/14-previous/14msw.html
  14. I purchased a Sealskin car cover a while back for around $75. Not a bad cover, fit could be better but heavy enough for outside use if needed. Inside has some pretty soft material.
  15. Deposit for car has been accepted. Car is SOLD Thank You to all that reached out
  16. Presented is a 1971 BMW 2002, VIN 2577610 built for North American market.Car is finished in its original Malaga color. The repaint however does not match the original perectly (close though). The body has some small areas of rust. These include the door corners and surface rust in various areas. There is no rust through on the body. The under body is very good with no floor or front subframe deterioration. The engine has been replaced with a later 2002 engine #2371997 indicates from a 1976 2002. and transmission has been upgraded to a 5-speed manual. The original front seats have been replaced with later style Recaro sport seats.Seats and door cards do not have any tears and are presentable for a daily driver. Under the current ownership, the following work was recently completed in preparation of the sale. • Front and rear brake service including new front discs and rear drums and cylinders. The front calipers were rebuilt and the lines replaced. Along with this service the brake fluid was changed using DOT 4 Ate fluid. • Front wheel bearings • Oil change service with filter • Cleaning and adjusting carburetor • New OEM fuel lines from tank to carburetor • Replacing of the distributor cap, rotor and spark plug wires • Rocker panel repair and repainting. The outer rockers had a small amount of rot in front of the rear wheels. This was repaired using welded steel pieces. The inner rockers only had surface rust and were treated with rust inhibitor and zink paint. • The driver side door check was replaced • The exterior paint was wet sanded and buffed • Spare tire well had a few small rust holes (size of dime or smaller) that were repaired and the area repainted • The door cards were replaced using good used cards • The radio was replaced using a new Blaupunkt Irvine unit that includes Bluetooth/MP3 • Various missing small parts were also replaced • The interior and trunk were thoroughly cleaned and refreshed I have DropBox files with around 60 pictures if I did the link right. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/dylsiub3plre4kte26z21/h?dl=0&rlkey=mux6jpghe7n5g863kpwwueymw https://www.dropbox.com/sh/33x73kofsdug8ld/AACvz-JBpryikOvwQnf75mVja?dl=0 Deposit taken for car.
