  1. My memory is terrible. I used those instructions and they worked great.
  2. JB Weld it. Nice and neat so you can take it apart in twenty years.
  3. I think I use a small punch and some painters tape. Took like five minutes, boom done. It is a bit of Rubic's cube though.
  4. Hey @72MetallicMalaga did you get your high rpm lean numbers figured out ? I'm have the sane problem above 4000-4500 with my DCOE"S also. 130 main, f16, 170 acc. Tryin 60f8 idle jet with little luck. Float level seems to be correct also. Curious what jets your running.
  5. I think I was to concerned on making the driveshafts parallel instead of getting Guibo square. I got @halboyles alignment tool to help with my ineptness. I picked up a couple buzzing noises in the interior, was thinking the new exhaust now hoping the new guibo done right fixes that also. On a brighter note I had two offers Saturday at Vintage races to buy my car. One was serious. Would only consider if I could find a e30 M3, otherwise plan is to keep forever.
  6. Received new Guibo Friday but it didn't have the band around it that most do. Is this going to be a problem ?
  7. Check with BluntTech I believe there putting some together.
  8. Nothing like Hand Washing in 40° weather. Also checked underneath the car for upcoming Vintage trip. Found a little bit of oil and a seal in the diff is starting to leak,Yea,,🙁. Also the Giubo is cracking after only a year. Bluntech got one out shipped in like a 20 minutes. Also ordered @halboyles alignment tool since it appears I haven't a clue when installing a giubo. I have access to a knowledgeable friend with a hoist.😎 Vintage to do list. Install Giubo, 123 Distributer, install Recaro's, adjust Weber DCOE's and adjust valves. Might be some beer in there somewhere.
  9. Started to replace my trunk side panels with new ones. Removed the old one and found this nice DIY effort. Picked and pulled at it for almost an hour. Will try a little hair dryer heat tomorrow. Anyone know a trick to get silicone caulk off ? I'm all ears.
  10. Installed new under hood Gasket. Finally can adjust headlights with installed IE adjuster kit. Checking things off The Vintage list.
  11. Agreed, basically those three are Spamming the Parts Ad section.
  12. My 02 came with a black plastic one. I purchased a used metal one and cleaned, polished it. Is a matte finish not chrome. I also replaced the gasket. Kooglewerks offers a cast aluminum one also. Not cheap but I'm sure the Quality is impeccable as always. http://www.kooglewerks.com/kooglewerks-parts/m15dkcd77p9yyu2q0wpxcsipp6chii
  13. Idle would fluctuate very little and would idle well for the most part. I do have an Innova light also. I'll check that tomorrow afternoon, can also take a look at the points. Thanks for reply.
  14. First wash of Spring. Tuned the DCOE Webers to new intake, better but not perfect. I used Pat Allens tune box and dwell would float from 56.1 to 62.4 ish at idle. Is this normal ?
  15. Barney, Sorry to hear this. I hope it goes well for you. My GF had that surgery two years back and took her a while to get back to normal lots of physical therapy. Also that Red interior is stunning. 😎
  16. I purchased from SuperBrightLED. There dimmable, maybe mine are two years old with no problems. Tun signal light is a bit bright at night would be my only complaint.
  17. Just checking things over after Winter slumber. I had some help.
  18. Installed the new air filter set up for Weber DCOE's . uses a K & N filter.
  19. Recaros dependent on condition and model i would say $1000. to $2500. Most sellers are asking $1800. to $2600. There are deals out there but if you want nice ones plan on spending $1800. to $2600. The market is hot past few years. I paid $1200. for a redone pair three years ago. I would not part with them for less then 2k. Still need to be installed in car. Life if funny. I lust for a orange Spectrum pair at $2500. but keep tellin my self to just install the ones I have. Facebook has a Recaro page that is active with some nice stuff and some deals. Good Luck with your search.
  20. Agree, Speedhut gauges are well worth the price of admission.
