  1. Sweet quite a nice collection you have there keep us informed on the progress and if you need any help with parts just give me a call!
  2. Sweet I'd love to get my hands on a 3.0cs some day.
  3. I had a simliar problem but had to take apart the whole kugelgischer and I never put it back again. Well mine is not an original tii so...It doesn't hurt that much.
  4. The older style 2 position is nla according to my sources!
  5. We have them for about 90 for the front and 40 for the rear new original BMW parts.
  6. Check: -Oil level -Type of oil filter used if longer than previous it will take more to build pressure. -Connections to the sending unit Never ever try to run a car with an oil lamp warning on it can break in no time if there is no pressure at all. Try turning the car with the coil ignition wire off so it's won't turn on and check to see if the oil press lamp goes off it should go away if you crank it for a while just don't fry the starter! It's unlikely that you had a failure if it was just a short amount of time I had an oil press light come on my 6cyl M20 with my mechanic and we had just checked oil press like 10mins ago so we thought it was the wire well we were wrong lucky me nothing evident happened and the car is still running. Best of luck with that best thing to do of course would be using an oil press gauge to check and be safe.
  7. Exactly that's the difference between an owner and an enthusiast as everyone has pointed out! I've even had some nasty old BMW owners... like for ex. I see another 2002 or E21 on the street I give the thumbs up or something while some of them just look at me with a not so nice expression on their faces haha.
  8. First of all check generation if your alternator is bad there would be no point in changing the battery.
  9. The 506 is the long neck style one. Not sure of the rod measurement though.
  10. That looks pretty much like item #17 here: http://www.bmwmobiletradition-online.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=2231&mospid=47131&btnr=11_2387&hg=17&fg=05
  11. Wow congrats Larry! Show us some pics! It will look sweet just next to your 2002.
  12. Haahha good one followed the link all the way pretty amazing! BTW anyone noticed what magazine is on the seat? fun stuff.
  13. That's part of the heater right unless you want to change the whole thing you gotta go a custom job.
  14. You were on the right page but it's sadly NLA. Guess we gotta go back to the whiteboard discussion!
  15. As everyone said don't put a lot of force in it. -Try pouring diesel and the ATF oil on the cylinders through the plug holes, you can leave the atf overnight it has good detergents. -Try to rock it back and forth with a big wrench without intake and without sparkplugs of course and don't do too much force it should slowly start turning unless it's reaaaaly stuck with corrosion inside or bird seed maybe? -Watch out for bearings but for a bearing to be so stuck that could probably have damaged the crank. -Valve-Piston hitting be careful with that too on one of my older E21 a 316 euro a spring broke and the valve dropped inside the cyl at idle. Be careful this is not the case it as strange as a chain been broken but you never know.
  16. It looks good, if you are not putting in an A/C system I would stay with the older one because it has a tray!
  17. New door clips are made so that the female side is no longer needed.
  18. Great time! Glad you liked them!

Hope you like the pics, It was real nice events real nice cars all of them from the mod 6cyl to the pristine 1600 and 3.0cs mallaga. This is for sure a great community!

  21. Wow that was very lucky I'm glad you got them back. Would have been surprising that one of the guys steals from other 02 owner though.
  22. Nice It'll stay original only things that might change are bigger 15" rims maybe sport suspension, dual exhaust like 323i and disc brake upgrade on back and vented on front. Besides that I always want it period correct and as original as possible! I can say the 2.7 is REALLY fun!
