  1. It was there I actually chopped off the cables and put it back in the front because I was loosing amps because of the cables. It wasn't the best setup as you can imagine. I also want it to look original and just bought the damn thing so I have several reasons to do it now! But thanks!
  2. Hey guys! Can anyone show me some pics of the location of the battery tray on the engine bay or maybe some measurements to know where should i weld mine? Thanks! Konrad.
  3. That is odd there should be O and L. Anyway that means when the oil pressure light doesn't come up the car won't crank? Maybe we are looking at a starter problem it's jamming or something and taking a huge load of amps and the lights fade on the dashboard? I'm a bit clueless.
  4. Lack of "rawness" is common on most modern cars actually. You will need to buy an exotic to feel raw and it won't be as raw as an old exotic probably!
  5. Fun stuff mine turns 30 we should make a party with a parts cake or something hahaha. I'll buy a party hat for mine.
  6. I dream of a 993 or a 930. But hell I would be extremely happy with a 997. Not that I can afford one! Still I love my BMW's.
  7. Real bad ground, but never seen anything so drastic.
  8. Happy Bday! that makes me realize I think I forgot Klaus'es B-day my E21. Today 30 years ago my car was being delivered to a dealer in Hamburg
  9. That is very odd! Must have taken a lot of work to get it looking like that. Cool though!
  10. I've never seen so many varied ways of killing bugs than on this thread! Amazing.
  11. Yeah I can't say I ever watched that show but that was funny. That's exactly how I feel everytime i need to get inside the 02!
  12. OMG no way the spider could still climb while on fire? LOL. Those are some nasty bugs. I haven't tried that option I like fire too much it might be risky.
  13. Hahahah this is all fun stuff. Guess that comes with the passion for car restoration. The E23 had 2 dogs living in it but those were easy to get out!
  14. I gotta agree and at the same time disagree. For example my E21 used to be a 6 cylinder 2000 now I put in a 2700cc and the car is A LOT faster hence I see myself having to think beforehand when braking. I understand big discs and such are for cooling but in my case I would love to have a bigger brake booster to help me out. So brakes do need to be improved if your car is faster in my opinion but not for cooling but for braking power. Unless you are taking it to the track....
  15. Thanks a lot for all those great ideas the one with exhaust fumes is particularly funny shame it's not starting well Kugelfisher giving me problems. Im going to try some one this options thanks a lot!
  16. HAHAHAH! Good one but im also concerned about the pesticide on a car I will be working on, and thing is they are mostly on the outside but as much as I wash the car they just don't go away!.
  17. Hey guys turns out my car came with a special package. Venomous spiders! Have you ever had to deal with the regular black widows (latrodectus mactans)? I called a biologist and he said the species found here are not so aggressive but I'm not a spider guy. He said they do not die easily with venom so they have to manually be taken out. Any suggestions on how to lure out those critters so I can continue the restoration process in peace? BTW shame I lost the pictures had to change cellphone and they were lost in the process agh.
  18. We can source you new ones.
  19. It still has the carb! Idle is rough....but it pulls a lot and sounds like heaven. Feels like a lot more torque than FI ones I've rode on (E30) though. Casting on my head is a 200 with slight port and polish.
  20. Thanks that's the idea! Today I had a big problem. Turns out I took the car into the garage to start fixing it and a few days later I start noticing some spiders that resembled back widows. Of course I freaked out and sent one to get analyzed and guess what? Black Widows! Real ones. Now this morning I saw hundreds and I'm not joking even little black widow babies we tried to kill as much as we could but the car is a nest! So tonight I had to town the car out on the street It was too dangerous having it close to the house since we even found one of the spiders in our bathroom. I'm having the pest company spray all the car with whatever strong venom they have and leave it out on the street until all those vermins have died. Anyway was a pretty good scare I wanted to share with you so in the meantime taking the starter off the engine is out of question! Konrad.
  21. Thanks I'll just be patient then!
  22. Question is going more along the way of how to deal with huge videos I suppose youtube automatically downsizes them or something.
  23. Hey guys I was wondering since every video even the smallest in size is like 20-30 megs how do you guys upload them? Youtube? Any other ideas on how to mail-upload them? Thanks! Konrad.
  24. Thanks all! The car is original European but it's been tinkered with a lot. Great to have that distributor rebuild contact thanks a lot. I have to remove the starter probably this weekend if I have a chance will keep posted!
