  1. That's s great gesture! It speaks highly of the 2002 community.
  2. If you want to avoid windnoise on the windshield gasket you will only be 100% sure if you order BMW original parts. For the other ones you could get URO gaskets which are not natural rubber but serve the purpose for the doors etc. We can offer you any of those let me know!
  3. Hi there! We can offer you the URO door gaskets they are aftermarket of course but good. I see no biggie on the door gaskets being aftermarket the only one I'm aware of that gives real problems are the windshield ones. They are a bit stiffer and are not natural rubber as oem ones though. Let me know if I can help you give me a call 800-950-2002.
  4. Hey I'm flying there for the first time too, very excited to meet all you guys and take a look at all the 02's and those tacos burritos sound good. Shame I can't take my own 2002 there but as it is right now it won't even drive off the driveway!
  5. Sounds like your pump might be reaching the end of its life not bad for a 30 year + run! Before changing make sure there is no debris.
  6. Yeap there should be some grommets there! We can provide those of course. Some ppl use that sticky stuff to keep the roundels on place too no need to if you got new grommets.
  7. Interesting reading my allen screw caps on the top are all stuck and deformed wonder how i'll take that out. Thanks for the link! Pull the pump off and soak all the parts in liquid wrench for a while, then find the right size allen wrench. Liquid wrench will be your best friend with that car, it works miracles on my cars and tractors!n Other than that I dont have many other ideas on how to get it out, just gotta use a lot of ingenuity I guess Yeah problem is some one tried to take out the allen screws before and deformed them agh.
  8. Interesting reading my allen screw caps on the top are all stuck and deformed wonder how i'll take that out. Thanks for the link!
  9. Yeah but its not only that I think the whole thing has to be redone! It's in really REALLY bad shape so bad that to start it i have to pour gas down the manifold into the cylinders.
  10. Thanks for the support guys those lines made me laugh out loud. Andrew I need to look for that valve cover of yours! Does it matter if it says BMW or has the BMW logo instead?
  11. Yeah I could do that, I'm trying it without the alternator on so I wonder once I get the alternator on it with the kuglefischer pump and all it might be cramped.
  12. Hey sure I think I will be needing it anyway because my old one was slipping not working right! I really appreciate it one man's garbage is another mans treasure. How can I pay you for it? Paypal? My email is konradpeters_cr@hotmail.com let me know please. Thanks!
  13. Oh really? Thanks I will let you know! Need to pull the thing apart. I do know I will need the whole frame because they broke the pin...
  14. I actually thought about that!
  15. Yep, as it's supposed to. The bracket rests on frame rail where it's welded. And the front goes against the front column and welded there. Tommy Ok great so its all welded there. It should have the bracket serving as a "foot" for the tray and weld it then wel d the other side. I wish I could just bolt it cause It would be much easier to take it out and work on the car.
  16. thanks guys and guess what, my car was unlocked too! Agh.
  17. that's what i would preffer to do but i need to see if it's viable cost wise since it's not only the pump that's neglected
  18. mmm so this is a later style tray which was suposed to be welded? If i turn it 180¤ the bracket that goes down, would be facing the firewall
  19. Pictures say more than words they stole my badges and broke my vent window
  20. Some more pics! Preparing a carb (I know an old DIDTA) to see if I get it firing on all cylinders, made a carb out of 2: Cleaning the kugelfischer a bit and found paint inside the outlets...ouch. I think it's a goner #2 cylinder won't fire at all. And a little bit of polish in the old paint so it doesn't look that sad.
  21. Hey guys can you tell me if this should be bolted or welded? And if bolted where exactly? Pics maybe? Thanks! Here are the pics.
  22. So those parallel lines that are cut on the wheel well are for a bolt on battery tray? My newness with 2002's is starting to show!
  23. The car has a tii injection system BUT I think im throwing it away since it's no good and the car was not a tii originally. The tray I got I don't recall it's coming this way I gotta get a look at it.
