  1. not sure what you are looking for, but the proper part for the rubber grommets is 34 31 1 160 133. most of the masters that use this grommet have the resevoir on top of the master. if you are looking for the plastic inserts to connect to a remoted resevoir, check #6. this is a euro e12 using the same grommet, and it also has a remote resevoir http://www.bmwmobiletradition-online.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=3621&mospid=47151&btnr=34_0198&hg=34&fg=25&hl=19
  2. and i STILL think someone needs to go over and check out that e24 convertible in toledo
  3. ya, mon. here is the euro early: http://www.bmwmobiletradition-online.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=2932&mospid=47172&btnr=23_0303&hg=23&fg=05&hl=1 and the later one, which corresponds with the usa one, -9/82 http://www.bmwmobiletradition-online.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=3171&mospid=47172&btnr=23_0304&hg=23&fg=05&hl=5 and because in europe, the last production run of the 320/m10 was before 9/82, the next run would be the e30. however, some of the other euro e21 also had the 240/5, some 315/16. here is the 5 spds for euro e30: http://www.bmwmobiletradition-online.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=1372&mospid=47271&btnr=23_0292&hg=23&fg=05&hl=25 note the 240 on these. checking the housings, the 240 for e21 is different from e30. http://www.bmwmobiletradition-online.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=1733&mospid=47175&btnr=23_0512&hg=23&fg=15&hl=1 these housings fit only usa 320i, 9/82-, and 315/16. also early euro 316 euro

  8. there are basically 2 roundels that fit almost every car. hood, that is. 51 14 8 132 375-smooth 51 14 5 081 747-3d, or raised lettering
  9. the metric mechanic did something similar years ago. they took a 2002 circle track racing. they welded angle iron to the rocker panels. chassis was so stiff, if you jacked up the car from the left front, the whole left side of the car would come up. the car kicked butt so bad, after about 3 races, all the drivers got together for a "special" meeting. jim rowe was NOT invited.

  12. the e21 323 t/o bearing(21 51 1 204 525) is 6mm longer than the e30 325(21 51 7 521 471), and is normally used in the 5 spd conversion with the 320 5 spd
  13. even stranger is that molly(mahle?) dont make a +2mm oversize piston. for ANY car. and if you DO have mahle oversize, the max is +1.0mm, so if yer bore is 91mm, either that piston aint no mahle(molly?), or you got clearance problems. or, maybe there IS a piston manufacturer named molly?
  14. wow. what am amazing coincidence. yesterday afternoon, i spoke to another tom in sc, who bought a tisa new, and kept it till about 92, i think. car was sold to a person in austin, and it is now at terry sayther's shop, almost complete. all the paperwork back to original purchase.
  15. does your car have a 3 or 4 spd trans? all i can see is the inlet line where it attaches to the transmission, #2 http://www.bmwmobiletradition-online.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=1084&mospid=47302&btnr=17_0052&hg=17&fg=05&hl=21
  16. naw, i got the bottom ones okay, actually ended up just having to shear off the cotter pin. the top one was giving me the gruff. the strut itself has a miniscule 8mm end, and the nylon nut it 19mm. wth? had to use a pipe wrench between the spring to free the strut to spindle fastener. Then, with the strut end(it was blown and getting trashed) in the vise and a vise grip on the 8mm end, assisted by copious amounts of PB Blaster, I was able to just crack the nut with an long box 19mm. whew. are you a kamaaina? i got this the other day. i was 2 months, 2 days old wow. what a video... i almost choked up... are you richard sullivan or? if you're on oahu, I live in Kapahulu and would like to talk 02s anytime. 916 799 6607 -ken i am not sullivan. we used to live in lanikai, hence the 1453aalapapa. now we live in north texas. i went to kailua elem/inter/high, wasted 6 years, then grad uh manoa in 73. we started the bmw car club of hawaii way back when. stan ahn, darrell bareng(1st president), gerard simoes, geoff and elarka yuen, peter and lynette char, roland and susan thom, mike lau, dennis tanimoto, this was about when the 320i first came out, like 1976. we miss the food
  17. terry has quite a collection of bmw's. he has an 88 m3 on ebay right now, and he has an s14/2002. he had a csl/m88 on ebay about a month ago, if it hasnt sold, you might get to ride in that. he used to have a coupla cs coupes, 328, and that was years ago. no telling what he has now. perhaps he would get all his cars in a parade escort, too. ask terry about mike perkins, dunno if he is still in the austin area, but he had built a couple m1 scaled down cars, i think powered by sho motors, and maybe there is 1 still around.
  18. terry sayther 512 442 1361 mention my name, you will get a good seat

  20. if the lites are on but dim, and if they get brite and dim when you use the turn signal, then the circuit board needs to be grounded
  21. this is kinda hard to explain, but the short explanation is that the trans is no longer available
  22. 64 51 1 355 641-geblaseschalter 64 51 1 355 643-temperaturschalter same as on e9: http://www.bmwmobiletradition-online.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=7013&mospid=47811&btnr=64_0879&hg=64&fg=55&hl=18
