    Hmm....I dont think so. They look like the BMW turbine wheels that came on the 320i. But they might be for the early 5, 6 and 7 series cars.

    Hmmm. On my '76 the positive wire of the Pertronix connects to the positive side of the coil, and the negative to the negative side of the coil. Works fine. But I'm not sure if my car has a resistor.

    I agree with Benz02. Money does talk. I went to a few places when it was time to smog my '76, and they all wanted big bucks to fix my 02. Then I went to a local smog shop, offered him $200, and they "passed" it for me. Now I have 2 more years to concentrate on an M20 swap to keep my 02 legal and the California smog nazis happy.

    Ha! My buddies wife can't function without Starbucks in the morning. I never understood it. I don't know how many times he's called me up saying how his wife is being a total beeyatch because she didn't have her caffeine fix! That poor girl. P.S. Next time try the coffee at 7-11. It's actually pretty good! And no waiting for 23 minutes!

    So I installed Irelands big brake kit on my '76 this morning, and everything went smoothly. I bled the brakes with the help of my Mother and everything seemed cool. When I finished I fired her up to take her for a spin, and there is no brake pressure! None! The front Girling calipers don't even catch. Brake pedal goes all the way to the floor. I know I bled them the right way. What could be causing this? The original brakes worked fine before this. The master cylinder is a Tii unit thats about 3 months old. I checked all the hoses and there all tight. One of the bleed screws did shear off at the top, but it was already tight and no fluid was leaking. I'm stumped. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

    Good luck with your surgery, Bill. Can I look after your 2002 while you're recovering?! :-)

    They must be drilled out with an electric drill and bit. Be very careful, though. Try not to make the holes to big or else you will ruin the suspension arm. I started out with a small drill bit and gradually moved on to a larger one to aviod this. If the holes are to large, the nuts that hold the new ball joint won't seat on the suspension arm properly, and you will have to get a new one. Take your time and everything will be cool. Good Luck!!

    SSR wheels will be pricey because of the whole JDM explosion. Takumi Project might have a set. Axis wheels makes an SSR clone, I believe it's a reverse mesh design though. That would also look killer on an 02! Good luck!! www.takumiproject.com www.axiswheels.com

    I'll probably be going on Saturday or Sunday. Can't wait to see and sit in an M5 or M6!! I hope BMW still has that lounge for BMW owners that they had a few years ago. You can never have enough free food!!

    I want to replace the tired old plastic fuel hose that runs through the interior of my carbed '76 '02. Can I just replace it with the rubber fuel hose available in auto part stores? Is this safe? Or should I just purchase another plastic hose. I'm alittle short on cash so I'm looking for the most affordable option. Thanks!

    Hey, Whale. I had the same problem with my '76. I could't fit because the steering wheel was in the way, and I have a 15" Momo wheel. I had to remove the center console and the drivers seat. I also removed the frame that the seat sits on. I replaced the seat with a low racing seat and some lame ass homemade seat brackets. Now with the seat lower, I was also able to move the seat further back and that also helped. I had to do this cause I'm 6'5" and 275+lbs and the stock car was way to cramped for me. Now my 02 is so much more roomy, and I can drive for hours without getting those nasty leg cramps!
