  1. You can get the walnut media at pet stores as they use it as bedding for rodents... Different stores carry varying mesh sizes, the smaller the better. I would recommend getting some corn cob media as it creates a better finish then the walnut. You may want to check local gun shops for the media or you can also buy it online from places like Midway USA. I do a lot of reloading and use walnut as an initial stage cleaning/polishing media and use the corn cob plus a little polish to provide the final cleaning and polishing of my rifle brass prior to reloading... 2. I have a couple sets of wheels for sale in the Baltimore/DC area. I had to move these out of the shed to get to some other parts.... Not interested in shipping at this time. First a set of 13 x 6 et28 ATS Classics. Great shape, nice finish, no bends and only a small ding or two on the lips... They have been resurfaced (machined) in the past to touch up some rash. Currently wearing brand new 185/60/13 Sumi's. $600 with tires. Link to more pics: http://s197.photobucket.com/albums/aa165/71BMW2002/ATS%20Classics Next a really fresh set of SuperLites in 13 x 6 et23 with lugnuts, if you need them... These are really nice with a slight bit of rash on two of them. They have a set of General Altimax RT tires in 175/70/13 with less then 1k miles on them. $650 with tires. Link to more pics http://s197.photobucket.com/albums/aa165/71BMW2002/Superlights A really clean set of BMW bottlecaps 14 x 6 et 30. Totally straight and squeaky clean... They just need a little sanding and some paint. $100 Link to more pics: http://s197.photobucket.com/albums/aa165/71BMW2002/Bottlecaps Last, an old set of Riken??? Multispokes 14 x 6 et 27. $200 OBO.
  3. Has this car ran properly since you've owned it? To properly diagnose the issue you should really pull the kfish belt off of the pulley and and get it lined up correctly. I would also double check that your pressure maintenance valve on the back of the pump is functioning properly. You can check the pressure after the valve to see if it is operating properly. (cant remember the value though...) KC
  4. Mario Langston in NH... http://www.vintagesportsracing.com/
  5. Pics will help the diagnosis.... But I have witnessed some small cracks in the past. The mounts usually have a coating of paint on them... As the paint gets older and the mounts do their job you will start to get small cracks around the top of the rubber portion of the mounts, just in the paint. If yours is worse post some pics. KC
  6. My thoughts/opinions... E30 sport seats are far more comfortable when compared to the e21 recaro and stock seats. If you want to install them it is not that hard if you can weld and have the proper tools... After you cut the factory mounts down you will need to weld in a crossmember for the front and rear mounts of the seat. Basically two piece's of angle iron of the appropriate size welded to the transmission tunnel and the interior of the rocker panels. KC
  7. Hey guys... I'm back in the hood, and I've been really busy the last few weeks. I'll be pretty busy for the next few hours but will get back to the computer/phone later on today. KC
  8. Begin shameless plug.... I have a set of ATS classics in 13x6 ET30 that I'm selling if anyone is interested... The are easily a 9 out of 10 and currently have a new set of Sumitomo's in 185/60 The picture below is a few years old. If anyone is interested contact me through the forum for additional info and fresh pictures. KC End shameless plug.
  9. Where's the pics.... Did you pick up the local 1969 by chance? KC
  10. Ian's car is F'in incredible... Here is another nomination for Ian's badass ride!
  11. Congrats Pat! Good luck with everything!!! KC
  12. The car sat for a few years and I finally parted it about 2 years ago. KC
  13. Its not unusual to find the head gasket cracked at that spot. Especially if the front cover gaskets have been changed in the past. As you found a good glob of RTV will normally seal it just fine. You just need to have everything clean and oil free for the sealant to work well. My .02 cents KC
  14. I owned 2764508. It was Verona. My malaga car is a a bit earlier at 2762999. KC
  15. I have a set of black seats in the condition you are looking for. They are actually seats from a 72 as then have the chrome hardware on the sides. There is a one inch tear in one of the seats but everything else is pretty mint. They were removed from a very mint car and replaced with some very nice aftermarket seats. If you are interested give me a heads up. I will pull them out and unpack them for some pictures. I may have time to do it later today or early tomorrow. I may also be able to get them up to Pittston Pa so they would be a little bit closer to you. KC Edit, just read your other post about wanting the Black hardware...
  16. Cool Find!!! Need to add the vin to the 2002 registry. KC
  17. That is the oil feed line to the Kfisch pump. It is made of some fairly hard plastic tubing. Don't start the car cause it is pressurized! I would not attempt to use any other type of tubing... Not sure what the price is now, but they were less the $20 a few years ago. If you are really in a jam I have a few used ones you are welcome to for the price of the postage. KC
  18. blowpoptoe, are you in the baltimore area? For the price I would look elsewhere. Draco is right there is way too much rust on that car... Hell my car is from the north east and had a lot less rust then that. KC
  19. This is how I do them: http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/t,274776/highlight,differential+bushing+removal/
  20. Check the linkage from the intermediate shaft to the kuglefisher. If the linkages are original (plastic cups) they are prone to breaking.
  21. Yeah, that is a lot of fuel compared to the timed flow produced by the good old "Zeitschalter". Unless you short on funds get a timer box... If you are short on funds, wire up a momentary pushbutton switch. Search the faq or email me for details. Good luck, KC
  22. Dave, I was thinking... Maybe something mild like vinegar that is pretty mild and easy to clean out to get the rust off. Add a chain to give it a little mechanical help while you swish it around. Rinse and dry with a heat gun or in the hot sun... I also used some eastwoods metal wash in the past with pretty good results on bare metal parts. Not sure how it would do in a gas tank but it works pretty well for keeping the rust off of my welding projects. KC
  23. Looks like someone wired up a push button for the cold start injector using a relay. Do you have a momentary push button on the dash somewhere? KC
