  1. Yes, the owner added the early alloys after your photo and before the AACA event. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Here is a photo from 2012 when the car was still here in Puerto Rico: And a link to some photos I saved when it was for sale (in CA IIRC) a couple of years ago. https://flickr.com/photos/10764352@N08/sets/72157697476110370
  3. This car was owned by a local friend here in Puerto Rico until a few years ago. He also had an E30 M3 which he sold to someone in Spain. It was under his ownership that the car got the AACA prize and Andrew is probably right saying that it was the only foreign car at that event. He sold the car for $32-$35K IIRC in pretty much the same condition it is now. It has been sold again a couple of times since then. Les might have the info. I should have a couple of photos of the car while it was still here in Puerto Rico. I will post them if I find them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I have seen a couple of recent photos of Isettas and 600s in Cuba. They more than likely have engines from newer motorcycles sold there.
  5. An independent BMW parts vendor closed down here a couple of years ago here in Puerto Rico and their very large old parts stock was bought by a couple of different guys. One of them is a friend and I was able to score from him quite a few E21 and 2002 NOS parts, including an almost complete set of E21 Euro Bumpers and a set of left and right roundie 2002 grilles. 6. I got some (EBay, I think) for my sort of stalled Schwarz ‘74 project a year or so ago. If you look closely you can see “Volvo” covered up with a Sharpie. Hope it works on BMWs. Hehe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Won’t give an opinion about this car, since I don’t have the expertise, but I can say that driving a well set-up 2002ti is a religious experience. Had a chance to drive Jon Poole’s ti when he was still living in Atlanta and couldn’t get the smile off my face. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. It actually worked! Hahaha! Oh! I did not mention that it had the front bumper guards on the rear bumper and viceversa. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. My ‘73’s PO was the master of bad mods. I have slowly been fixing them. For example, he used a universal motorcycle turn signal switch when the stock lever broke, and he converted it to electronic ignition using a distributor from a Mazda B2000 pick up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Here’s mine: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I placed mine on my BMW shrine yesterday. Beautiful product!
  12. A few shots taken by my daughter on Sunday 12/30/18.
  13. Hey, Ray!!! Thanks for finding it. Saving it for when the moment comes! Need to take care of several other issues first. Best, Harry
  14. This one looks similar: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-AC-Underdash-Evaporator-For-Auto-Car-Truck-Air-Conditioner-24V/233033246101?epid=17018226744&hash=item3641dd2595:g:VN4AAOSwo2la1uon:rk:1:pf:0
  15. No, this was a home-built system using a universal evaporator bought on EBay.
  16. Saw this setup in a local car at our last event two weekends ago. The owner says it cools really well with a Sanden compressor. He bought this evaporator on EBay. Unfortunately, I didn't sit in the car to see how much it interferes with one's right leg on the driver's side.
  17. I didn't have much luck with the Anson ones. The local high humidity caused the paint to bubble. I have a Mintgrun roundie which will be a future project. I plan on stripping and disassembling it to paint it.
  18. Sahara! Now I will HAVE to find one.
  19. Closest thing I've seen is the AutoArt 1600-2.
  20. I might install turbo flares on one of my 2002s and have thought about using nutserts. Anyone using them?
  21. Found this one in black on the same site: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/-/32306101310.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
