  1. Don't tempt me, Andy..... I am on probation at home as it is. Still have to get rid of one car before I can get off the hook. The only one with permanent residence is the '02 Although there was this '91 318is on the newspaper classifieds yesterday..... Like they say, "It's better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission".
  2. Hmmm....Guess you'll have to go with your first idea. Got any neighbor with an old pick up?
  3. Let's see...... Polaris-colored hair..........................check Overextended abdominals.......check Loss of memory..............check Hey! I AM an Old Fart!!!!!!!
  4. IIRC this was discussed way back when it started and that was the answer to the mystery..
  5. Tie it to a sturdy tree. It will most surely become unstuck.
  6. Did you change the rubber brake lines? If not, they could've collapsed internally.
  7. I think it's a great choice! Post pics of your progress for our enjoyment.. BTW, my car was originally sold by the Heidegger dealership according to BMW MT.
  8. I find it faster today than it was yesterday, even though I was on a cable internet system at home and now I'm using dial-up. Par of it could've been problems at my IP, but it's definitely faster.
  9. Thanks! Guess that I'm used to having the links highlighted by underscoring or other colors..
  10. Nice..... Love that steering wheel.
  11. I think it's fairly accessible. Remember that the area where the extinguisher is located is the front of the seat delete thingy.
  12. Glad that the weather cooperated with you guys. Great turnout!
  13. Sounds interesting, but you forgot the link. Can you post it? Thanks,
  14. Yes, rust is a problem with 02's . Remember that the newest one was built almost 30 years ago. Having said that, there are cars in AZ, NV, CA, etc. with very solid bodies. 1976 cars can be had for great prices in CA due to their smog laws. Like you say, an E30 3 series might also be amn alternative. They are cheap and plentiful and a lot less rust-pronr than the 2002.
  15. I agree with Tom and Stu. Low-end response with the 38/38 is much better than with the 32/36. One of the best upgrades I've done to my car... It does lower the gas mileage, but if I were worried about that I would be posting on the Toyota Prius message board instead of here ;-D
  16. Tom, a few of us here also own E21's. I don't think anybody would mind if you post a list of your stuff over at the For Sale board.
  17. Here's a pic of a Diana from Richard Stern's site: The aftermarket kits come with black latter style grills like those on the car below. This was a pic posted in this forum some time ago:
