Spatter is different from splatter.  Splatter is seen more around barnyards.

A radiator shop is a good place to take a leak.

I have no idea what I'm doing but I know I'm really good at it.

This is sick! By the time I pour coolant in my radiator you already have the floor boards replaced! I just want to cry.

Hey Barney, loving following this thread... but just wondering about the sill (rocker) replacement...did you add the full-length box section to that inner plate?

It’s Friday, I finished up welding in the front passenger side repair panel and fit the rear passenger side panel, but did not install it as I’m using that space to stand in while working on the other quadrants of floor repair. Pictures of small repair under rear seat…

Nice progress👍

I find it very difficult to fill a gap on thin metal like using those clamp things makes you do. By making the patch 1mm larger than the hole and chamfering edges, like this   ....//¨¨¨¨ , I can use more current and get better joint. Ever tried that Barney?

I guess you could still make wider slots for the clamps, somebody uses magnets.

I remember seeing the Baurs and convertibles at Jaymics workshop in the UK in the mid 80’s when Mike showed me around (such a nice guy made time to talk and show me around) the damage from the crap drainage and salty UK roads was staggering, never seen so many braces as much of the cars structure had to be removed, but just like Barney’s bit by bit they came back together, love watching this progress. Thanks for posting all the pics!!

Tommy on large gaps I use a piece of copper held  in place by super magnets to back up the gap while welding…
