BMW Showroom Fillers

Our local BMW dealer has not had enough new cars to fill his showroom so he asked if I could help. He has been a big supporter of our local club so I was happy to help him. I took over the GS Tuning 2002 and my E30 M3. They will be there until spring when our season begins.

Any information on the Golf square light '02 with the big blue bow on it in front of your beautiful motorsport examples?

Not only is the dealer lucky to have those cool heritage cars in the showroom, but the owner gets free, heated and secure storage for the winter!

 

I have a feeling that other FAQers are gonna be calling their local BMW dealerships to see if they'd like to display a vintage BMW on their showroom floor...

A Cincinnati dealer is showing his own vintage collection in his showroom, too.  Such has also been happening in the UK for a while.

Since we don't keep antifreeze in these due to competition regulations it does give me peace of mind to know they are warm at night. And they have a pretty stout security system there.

 

My wife will tell you I'm not quite as dumb as I look.  ;->>

It's a nice driver. Owned by the dealership manager.

'74 tii or '74-'76 carb'd?

 

Does he own the red Isetta too?

Bingo, found it with some detective work based on the image file name:

Looks to be a carb'd '74 based on description and lack of a clock on the dash. Missing the correct '74 seats though.

The great thing is that people shopping for new BMWs get a short history lesson. There are many owners that are not familiar with cars made in the last century.
