Hi,

I have this set of übercool alloy wheels, but I can't find out what these are.

They look very similar to Campas for the Lamborghini Miura but there's know marking or anything on it.

The dimensions are about 7x13 ~ET0, so they will not fit under my car ?. Imagine them in gold...

 

Does anyone of you know about these beauties?

With that offset, it sounds like they were meant for a front drive car, like a Rabbit GTI or the like...might try one of those web sites.  They do look very 70s Italian--surprised there aren't any markings, even on the back.  Are they 4 x 100 or 4 x 98?  That might give you a clue, as Fiat 124s used 4 x 98 wheels, and I think Alfas did also...

Also close in appearance to Low rims:

 

 

Between the Lows and the Muira Campy’s, this suggests a ca. 1970 date. Have you examined them with tires off? If so, were there any markings on the outside of the barrels?

 

Great rims. They just need a home with flared fenders!

They’re very similar to the wheels on my GTV, which also has no casting marks. They are most likely by Delta, a long forgotten manufacturer from Milano, Italy. Apparently copying wheel designs and modifying sand casting molds was pretty easy, as Ive seen at least three similar wheels that “knock off” the Miura look. They didn’t call them forgers for nothing. ?

The front-wheel drive cars of that period, such as VW's and Honda's actually ran much higher offsets; 35-40mm.  They also typically had ~6-6.5" wide wheels in play.  Easy to take something 4x100 of that era and bolt it onto an 02 with a small spacer :)

It's been established on this board that I'm old and grumpy, but when it comes to wheels the one factor that keeps moving up my list is how easy are they to clean, In that category these  are a epic fail, it would take a day and half of the Groits catalog to clean each wheel with all the nooks and crannies. That said if I could hire a wheel cleaner I'd put them on.

thanks for your reply. The old tires are stickin still on them. Maybe pulling them off will show a mark or label. Good idea.
