where to find an okay tii ??   I've got two of 'em right here in SoCal ....... and $15grand should just about cover the sales tax, maybe.

 

One of 'em, well, the front rims ain't so clean and shiny, but for only $15K in sales tax, ya can't have everything .........

I had the pleasure of meeting the young Mr. Smith at il Nido last year when chef Mike Easton and I had our twinsy 1975 Verona red 2002s sitting in the parking lot together. Supercool guy, excellent writer.

Sam and a film crew were at Lane Motor Museum last night, shooting a story for Hagerty. We talked a bit about the project - stay tuned, it'll be worth it.

I do love Sam Smith.  When he wrote for Roundel, I thought he was great.  When he left that was a bummer.  He also helped lift Road and Track, and then left there, too.  

 

I know he was at PVGP the year I was there - he was driving that 02 race car (below), and I saw him in the hotel lobby - I think he was talking to Ben/Paul/other people. 

 

I watch his show - Proving Ground, which is an NBC ish show.  First season was a little clunky, but then they sort of rolled with their goofyness, so it is a little better.  

 

Man that car he got it is crusty.
