02 Rear Sub-frame for E30 Diff DONE

2002haus

Recommended Posts

With this topic coming to the surface the last few days Ken S
and I wanted to bring this project out of the shop. This is a
brand new sub-frame, designed and manufactured from scratch.
Ken has been instrumental in bringing this project to fruition for
the benefit of all custom 02 owners and builders. We will be selling
and marketing it through our business exclusively.

We have been working on this for a while and it is done,
ready for orders to be taken and delivered. This has already been
revised twice and fitted for production.

The details are as follows:

- stock mounting location of sub-frame
- stock sway bar mounts
- adjustable camber & toe
- stock 02 trailing arm mount location
- new hanger mount bracket for an E36 diff. cover

The cost per unit will be determined in the next couple of days and
this information will be added. The pictures show a completed and mounted unit, which is powder coated. These will be available as powder
coated or not.

This set-up along with the custom billet stub axles, hubs and
custom half-shafts should handle any turbo engine, built M20 or whatever
someone is willing to throw at it.

EMAIL your contact information to place an order or be put on the order interested list. Thank you.

That's BEAUTIFUL Rob!!! I could be wrong but it looks like there is a reinforcement plate that bolts inside the trunk?? Am I wrong or is that an E36 diff cover not E46. Guess one could fit this Rogue Engineering finned Diff cooler/cover for track events etc....

Cheers,

from now on, the predicament will be

e21 differential for 500?

or rear subframe for 300 + e30 diff for 200?

Edit:

are e30 diff's lighter?

Thats a nice bit of work there Rob, but it can't fit a 2002 as you can get a wrench stright onto the drive shaft bolts, whats up with that?

Just kidding if priced kindly you'll sell a butt load of em.

As you've had to make a cut out on the subframe for the input flange doesn't that mean the alignement of the driveshaft is out, or am I missing something?

Slick bit of work - most people over here adapt a whole e30 rear subframe, but obviously that effects the track width.

If it's as nice as your five-speed setup, I'll be drooling. I bet these things will make an M42 or S14 swap even easier.

So......are custom stub axles and halfshafts absolutely necessary? Or are they only necessary for huge HP numbers? For those of us that won't be tracking a monster car, it would be nice to be able to use the stock 02 axles with E21 or E30 CVs inboard.

Great work Rob. Glad to see you shared this with the group. I know you have been working on it for a long time.

Having bought Rob's M20 mounts for my project I can say that he makes extremely high quality stuff that just works. This will make it so much easier for those looking to put down some extra power.

Rob can clarify but I think that it will include custom axels which are necessary to keep the same track width. I'm anxious to see pricing. I expect it to be on the high side, but you get what you pay for.

Rob, put me in line for one.
