  1. Do you know what diameter these are?
  2. Looks like a cool and very unique car. I am not a buyer at the moment (too many projects of my own) but I would love to see pictures of the Folvo engine and interior if you have a chance to post them. GLWS!
  3. Thank you @ray_... I have ordered quite a bit from W&N as far as patch panels. Now it’s on to the big stuff that either they don’t have or that would not be cost effective to ship.
  4. To my FAQ friends, I am seeking several bits of sheet metal or a relatively rust-free shell (that will be cut up). Preferably in the northeast to avoid shipping costs. If you are more than 3-4 hours outside of CT and are really looking to get rid of some of these parts (and don’t mind shipping)... I promise this is going to a very good cause! *** Note: this is for a Jan 1968 so early style is preferred where applicable. - Spare tire well. - Driver side firewall (from the top of the pedals up). - Hood (early style has 3 holes vs 1 hole along each side). - Early style passenger and driver doors. - Top of rear quarter panels (where bottom of rear window meets). Please PM if you have anything that you are willing to part with and thank you for looking out! TJ
  5. You must get a little somethin’ somethin’ (and I ain’t talkin about beer) with your black plate order... right?
  6. I couldn’t agree with you more... Steve @BluntTech is a genuine, knowledgeable and down-to-earth individual who has a passion for these cars and this community. Every time I need a part I check his site first. Only when he doesn’t have it will I go to another seller. Steve is truly one of the nicest individuals you will meet. A few months ago I went through a rather large overhaul of my steering, suspension, driveshaft and transmission. Dave took the time to walk me through the work I was about to get my self in to and made sure I had everything I needed to do it. After I received the parts I had an issue with one of them and before I could even ask him about a replacement he had overnighted one to me. That is EXACTLY who you want to buy your parts. Note: I am not affiliated with BluntTech nor do I know Dave outside of my dealings with him for parts. I just know there aren’t many businesses out there like BluntTech anymore so I am more than happy to give Steve my thumbs up.
  7. I am from the Northeast where rust has claimed the majority of 02s that spent their life here. As another member said the car would be a parts car in a place like CA while it might be a legitimate project car here. For what it's worth... I have a car at a local well-known restoration shop and know full well how expensive it can be to have a "pro" do the work. Some cars are worth the expense because you might get your money back or because the car has so much sentimental value it may be worth whatever you have to put in to it... to you (I emphasize "to you" because that cost will probably exceed it's market value and you need to be okay with that). Keep in mind there were a lot of 02s made so if this particular one is nothing "special" (I don't mean to offend anyone with that comment... all 02s are special in one way or another!) and the sentimental value does not exceed the cost of restoring it, it's probably not worth having someone do the metalwork. Instead, I would look at it as a great way for you to get some experience with welding. If you can learn how to weld well, you'll have gained a skill that will serve you VERY well as an 02 owner and this car will probably end up being the best $250 you spend. Hopefully we'll get to see some more pictures. Either way, good luck with the car...
  8. I'm seeing the same thing. I figured Tapatalk was having a problem because my password is working on the website.
  9. There are two things that I love about this post: 1. When I saw "meet her maker" in the title I initially thought "Oh no! Another 02 has gone to the scrap yard!" but when I opened it up I saw this perfect Polaris 2002ti standing in front of BMW as if it had just come off the assembly line. Beautiful. 2. "Brunhilde" - that is the perfect name for an 02. I need some coffee...
  10. Probably USPS, or better yet, Greyhound Freight (if it works for both of you). These wheels aren't too heavy so USPS would work fine as long as you don't exceed their size restrictions. I have found in the past that sending two boxes with two wheels in each is the most cost-effective way to ship. That may not hold true at this point but you can tinker around with different sizes and weights to get prices in the USPS price estimator: https://m.usps.com/m/PricesCalculate
  11. Sounds good to me... I'll PayPal ya!
  12. Al - how much are you asking for the oval brake line grommets?
  13. The Scheel seats are so choice. If you have the means I highly recommend picking a set up....
  14. Please add me to the list if you're doing another run. I would love to have a set...
  15. NM/NA. Just passing along... https://www.ebay.com/itm/322484513652
  16. Sorry in advance. I... just... couldn't... resist...
  17. Tell us more about the Molson and the moose you're referring to! Very nice of you to make such an offer. Hopefully it'll help someone out!
