  3. Rivets. I put a little tabs of butyl sealent around holes before riveting to battle future rust issues.
  4. Upgrades can be counted as success if less than 20% of orginal functions dissapears.
  5. I used to have a hand brake cable out of trash bin (from Peugeot) - h/b cables lasts as long as the car as throttle cable Then went Tilton style b/box & E21 throttle cable. M2 has S14 cable, a bracket welded to firewall & short rod from lever. Works too.
  6. Had once 520i -74 (kf), sunroof, no a/c so can’t help with that. Iirc blower motor shrouds etc needs to be air tight (and everyting downstream for that matter). There might be different o.d. blower motors (two ithink) so be sure to get right one. If it feels like a cows breath it might be time to get new? See what w&n offers for E12.
  7. Somewhat (totally) OT but i think this is cool so i just leave this here.
  8. It's 100 should this information intrest anyone. At that price R 12.5 pots are bargain. If you really want/need (as the case is here) to lit the road at night you'd should seek higher R's.
  9. Didn't look. Felt by hand - yeah - nuts are front.
  10. Sorry, haven’t been into ice racing (yet)
  11. I’m starting to think that lily doesn’t trust ya.
  12. I’ve run sealed bearings in race car. Have worked for me.
  13. Just a moment... S14NET.VBULLETIN.NET does this help?
  14. Idk but i'm in a process of making (almost) flat underbody.
  15. Wouldn't that make your filler cap to be in too deep? Do you have #16111106095 to sandwitch hose rubber elbow to cap plate you have? Does it even work that way? It's been way too long when i last needed to fiddle with these...
  16. Keep an eye on it. If it does not hold you’ll need larger metal plates glued/rivited to get enough area to hold.
  17. Interesting. Never saw filler rubber elbow w/ clamp to quater panel. Is it US thing?
  18. F/p lobe is easy to test - put the cam on lathe and sensor on tool post and set air gap and run at speeds. Sensor needs to spec’ed for full oil immersion and temps above 120c. In a case of rocker failure it could get messy. Sms version looks nice. Iirc this sensor wants wider trigger as appears in photo but if it works rpm’s used then all good.
  19. A friend milled upper cover and bracket for cherry hall. One cam gear bolt is about 19 mm long (and opposite bolt has larger washer to balance).
  20. When voltage drops near 9 volts dme’s starts to hallucinating. Get new engine temp sensor.
  21. Nissan gt-r Nismo blanks goes for 80 bucks. Porsche about same. Ferrari from 155 $.
