  1. That’s a lot of brake for rears. I’m running 345 discs front and 260 at the back. 4 pot AP’s front and 2-pot AP’s rear & b/box (Tilton copy). There is some fancy maths involved that i can’t remeber rn but i got me in the ballpark.
  2. What’s the flange thikness? Looks like it have been turned a little ( to make it prettier?). If it’s thinner than oe - no bueno. Torq will kill it at somepoint.
  3. Crap starts to move and blocks fuel delivery? Change fuel filter and clean in tank screen at end of the sender unit. Flush gas tank.
  4. I’d take the lock barrel(?) off and have a look what’s going on with steering lock lever mechanism. And lock itself apart & clean all (replace what’s worn or maybe broken). The switch needs to be examined as well.
  5. Rod bolts came so put basement back together. Special tools for S14 rods. Once big end is in bore and points downwards it's easypeasy - no nics on journals. Old bolts heads grinded. Some 5 mm rods welded and plastic tube over. Works.
  6. Thanks! Not gonna bin it - have to look into repairing it someday. It’s nothing special, std M10 crank but i think they’re nla from factory. Last time i got one there was like 3 left.
  7. Yes i cleaned it a bit. Took a while. More pics in blog.
  8. I was just about to put crank back in block, final checks and found that as my thrust bearing got toasted my crank died too. End play about 2 mm. So back to part shelves & crank department and there was good std 48/55 mm. Prepped it and put it in. Waiting to rod bolts to arrive...
  9. Well there is not much left to hold the engine in bay so why not pull that darn thing out and work with it off car? Way easier to do what ever you wanna do it (front/rear seals maybe etc.).
  10. Interesting. There is woven mat and also chopped mat.
  11. 😂 I never start any of my cars clutch pressed cuz i love my thrust bearings too much. Honda ate t/bearing too?
  12. Pressure plate is strong alright but this is new. Have to take a look at gearbox and take some measurements.
  13. Took short block out and disassenbled. Thrust bearing (#3) totally dead!
  14. I would make a tiny plate of sheet metal and weld it to large hole. Others just weld. Cavity wax etc for inside.
  15. That's a cool idea. F2 spec KF pump supports enough hp - get one of those for lil head room... ohf this gets out of hands already.
  16. All new bearings and gaskets. The amount of metal flakes was intense when i cleaned all parts. Drexler pressure rings going in...
  17. Machined down 0.30 mm. Machinist said that there is about 1 to 1.5 mm hard material so she'll be fine.
