  1. My 2000CS owners manual says SAE 90 gearbox oil - same as steering box.
  2. And don't forget the special rubber washer on the Driver side bolt.
  3. Per Mr. IE, it doesn't sound like fuel starvation: if the float bowls are full (after idling for a minute), it should rev past 5000 at least for a few seconds. The rotor was a good suspect, but out of the picture now. Are you sure it is advancing fully? What I find curious is the 5000 rpm wall. Seems too high for main jet issue. On plug wires, I chased a misfire for weeks before deciding to replace what looked like perfectly good new-ish wires. New Bosch wires solved that problem. I seem to recall using the timing light to look at the firing pattern which showed the miss created by two of the carbon core wires. Adjusting max timing to IE recommendation also helped.
  4. So just to review, things start to go bad over 5000 rpm? Consistently, or at random?
  5. As above, check the bolt holes in the flanges. If evenly spaced (or if they have 10 holes) you can just bolt in later CV shafts . Getting those boots over T end is a pig.
  6. Location is a matter of personal preference. I moved the one on my CS to rear fender. i like it there. Moved my Bav one to the back too in the day.
  7. Just while i think of it, be careful when reattaching hood to hinges and adjusting the support brackets. If the hood is misaligned, it can snag edge of front cowl as it opens. Very tricky. Just go VERY slowly. The support bracket bolts on the fender tops affect the way it opens more than you might think.
  8. I put two small speakers in the kick panels and two on the parcel shelf. To do again, i think i would put rears on lower rear seat bulkhead out of sight. Just dont cut the damn doors!
  9. What on earth was going on in those seats??
  10. I'd be interested in hearing your reaction.
  11. Thanks for posting picture. That looks like Upper, Inner , (Lower) Outer to me.
  12. Me thinks you have the caliper sequence out of order: I recall Upper, inner, outer.
  13. I should have searched, but slim pickings. I'd be curious to hear from someone who used them.
  14. Anybody have any experience with their pistons?
  15. Anyone able to compare the newer factory square coupler with the old round one?
  16. May be my speakers, but I'm hearing more of a random squeak...
  17. Well fine, leave us here soaking in PB blaster while you bake.
