  1. I’ll take the fuel level sender on page 17 if it’s still available. Regards, Jason Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. I think most RHD 02 owners would rather have a LHD. RHD cars have dual brake servos instead of a brake booster. Also, steering column interferes with the exhaust manifold. Making working in that area or finding aftermarket parts a PITA. I think the main factor in making an 02 worth more than an other is rust. I’d then take a rust free RHD over an rusty LHD. (Then I’d convert it to LHD. [emoji23] JK) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I figure if you have an insurance company that specializes in classic/antique cars you won’t have any issues. How many hot rods are on the road? No bumpers, chopped roofs, some with out hoods or fenders. Places like hagerty would be lost in the wind if they didn’t provide their core customers with expected coverage. 5. I’m a big fan of your work and your cars. I follow your accounts on IG. I also believe there is something to be said (positive) about a nice survivor with original paint. Especially if the body is as solid as you’ve stated. If I had the expendable cash to splurge. I wouldn’t hesitate to drop 20-27k on a car with all the new hardware, motor, interior, suspension upgrades you’ve done. I’m sure there are like minded 02 enthusiasts like me with more money. Hi Steve, I'll have to look through the owners handbook thoroughly for more clues. You are correct, BMW Group Archives says it is an original Polaris car. The interior is black, which I believe to be original. Currently the car is painted white (possibly Chamonix.) I think when the early metallic paint failed the original owner opted to save some money and painted it white. The engine bay and trunk are still Polaris though, and I plan on leaving it that way. The stamped VIN number is also the original reddish primer. I do have the original block, long neck diff, early driveshaft and transmission, generator, starter, etc. The gentleman I bought it from stated when he first purchased the 1600, it had Alpina sway bars (which he put on his A4S 02), and Borrani turbo wheels. A box of parts that came with the car also had one of those cool Helphos Rally Spotlights in it. Regards, Jason
  9. I was doing some research on 67's on the UK forum. Apparently there was a 6v Tach option (cost was $125 during the period.) Looks like TJones owns a NOS one. More info after the link. http://www.02forum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1431&start=100
  10. Last night I straightened and cleaned up (to the best of my ability) the early 10 slat kidney grille for my '67. Before: After:
  11. Hey Geoff, I got around to tracing that Swan neck base. Not sure of the brand but there is a a mark with 3 stars and a part number (101072) Your price sounds good to me. Pm payment info and I can send payment. Thanks! Jason Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Geof, I’ll dig the mirror out and check. Not sure of the brand, but I will trace it as you’ve instructed. I just recently bought a 67 project car, and I am just now getting to sorting out all the parts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Very nice. I definitely need one of these. I’ll keep my eyes peeled if you decide to start selling a few. Jason Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. Hey Alex, I’m in Virginia Beach. The Tidewater 02 Gruppe gets together every once in awhile. It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a gathering (new kid) but late last year about 4 of us showed up to VB Cars and Coffee. Introduce yourself here. https://m.facebook.com/groups/1629916840646290 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The BMW 1602 VIN 1529238 was manufactured on June 19th, 1967 and delivered on June 29th, 1967 to the BMW importer Hoffman Motors Corp. in New York City. The original colour was Polaris metallic, paint code 060. Currently the car is on a chasis dolly. Plan is for a slow refresh.
  19. I have a pair of Italian 40DCOE4’s I was getting ready to sell. The bodies are in great shape. But they need a rebuild. PM if interested. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Ed, I’ve got a set of those on my 45DCOE15/16’s. I also have a set that look like the TI solex horns but mate up to Weber’s. Not sure which one I will run yet. I guess it depends if the Solex style will clear the BB. If they don’t I’ll use the adjustable set. Jason Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  24. I dreamed of owning a Corrado as a teen. Back in ‘94 when I was shopping for my first car, a used auto lot down the street from me had a MKII Rallye G60. I REALLY WANTED IT. Unfortunately, I was 16 with a part time job at Burger King. I ended up with an ‘85 Honda Civic. [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
