Looking for 975 + shipping OBO.
I'm selling my Getrag 245 5 speed transmission to fund some engine building expenses. I bought this off of ebay a few years ago, and the seller sent me a video of it going through all the gears, including reverse. He verified the transmission by first showing the serial number then performing the bench test in one continuous shot. Video is no longer available, but I have included a screen shot of the original for sale ad.
Quick notes from the seller (guy I bought it from.)
Bench tested and ran thru all gears, including reverse, Smooth synchs. No crunch. No bearing noises.
The seller did mention a defect in the factory casting of the slave cylinder hole. "A slight "bight" out of the edge of the hole. Perfectly half moon shaped. Perhaps by the punch press. This is not uncommon, and does not affect the placement of the slave cylinder, as it is held securely by it's two bolt when mounted on the rear of the bell housing, as well as the shoulder of the cylinder itself that fits into the hole."
Replaced the following.
- Front shaft seal.
- Rear shaft seal.
- Rear shaft seal cover gasket.
- Shift rod seal
- Clutch pivot pin
- Output flange locknut retainer plate.
The container is 31x21x15 inches and the shipping weight is 65lbs.
