  1. Not averse to the tii booster, but fit is tight, more considering other options which might work, such as this well used setup from a rhd coupe.
  2. That's a good idea Ray...food for thought. MC is of the 750 variety. Still looking at a number of options for the booster.
  3. First test fit of the carbon box. Well the easy fit anyway as there was no booster and no reservoir.
  4. Awesome. What did you do with the NK you bought from Dorien in Toronto?
  5. Your car looks great, congratulations! Are you going to install a set of early bumper overriders up front? Linwar in the UK still sells one side NOS. the other one you need to find used. Blunt has all the rubber and hardware. Also, you front bumper appears to have the common tilt where the middle appears to tilt down slightly which is exaggerated on the side view of the bumper end. I have this on my tii. Are you bumper ends drilled into the fenders? I am thinking I will need to try to bend the brackets slightly to fix this on my car. But I'm concerned about fatiguing the metal.
  6. Bumper mod looks great...square tails with euro bumpers looks just right. Are you going to add some euro bolt covers. And the GC stuff is functional eye candy. Can't wait to hear your report on them in action. I opted for a restored Alpina setup for my M2, but in doing so I gave up some of the tunability/flexibility you are gaining.
  7. Hmm. Since I don't have enough $$ to get the bodywork done, I really don't have a timeline. It took me about 10 years to finish the VW, but that was mainly due to getting married and moving several times. What about your car? The goal is to drive it to the Vintage. We'll see
  8. How long do you think it will take to have it back on the road?
  9. GLWS, sorry the dash didn't work out
  10. Great color, and the kind of prep I would expect from something with your name on it Rob. You are so right, if your painter likes to paint black, he is good Looking fwd to updates.
  11. Your Halifax pics are great, real deal east coast weather is evident. I used to do a lot of business in NS and I miss traveling down your way. Good luck with your project, great work so far.
  12. We're in the same boat you and I. If I had a double garage, I'd offer the space to commiserate. Or at least to be able to have some frame of reference... Contact us Toronto guys too. We have a good group here for parts/ideas/commiserating.
  13. Thanks guys. It's a big day when the motor gets into its' home. The alu tank is a vapor tank modelled after an e28 setup. My battery will be in the trunk, doesn't take up too much real estate and my car will have rear seat delete. Kris
  14. The head of the key( the grey plastic part) in his pics is hinged and folds against the body of the key
  15. I bought a parts car and in the stash with the car was a "new" gas tank the PO bought in the '90's and never installed...still had the paperwork from shipping and "Bimmer Parts Co" label. Funny thing is, other than being dirty, it is completely rust free after sitting all those years. Dropped a fiber optic camera into it and it is spotless inside. Guess they were built well
  16. Recent pics gas tank, will run E28 pickup. In case you hadn't guessed, the fuel filler door is shaved. [/img] Engine test fit. It's back enough for the factory fan setup (we think), but will need some work on the header for clearance.
  17. I have an S14 (E30 M3) bottom end if you want to do something a bit more powerful than a tii. Toronto area, can also personally vouch for Brent's suggestions
  18. Petri Sport Wheel, 350mm edition, very good condition, includes hub and horn button in excellent shape. Horn ring hardware is new. Covering is in great shape, no tears. One spoke has a slight bend as evidenced in the pic $sold
  19. It's a really honest car, and the basis of a cosmetic or full reno. I hope it finds a good home. It's been nice seeing it locally.
  20. Bump still available, crate is ready to go!
