  1. Amazing! Great vid too. Bring it up to the very historic Mosport Grand Prix track one day!
  2. Love the E30 Touring. Wish the Canadian dollar wasn't so weak right now. Good luck with the sale.
  3. Updates: Motor is in for good now. Engine has been started, albeit briefly with no rad and header only. Engine bay wiring is almost complete. The E30 harness cover was modified to work and it clears the intake! The next steps are to install the exhaust, shifter linkage, driveshaft, and finalize the hydraulics for the brakes. From that point we can dyno tune the car In unrelated news, I got a really nice Becker Europa head unit from a faq member. Working on a plan for a stereo setup, though I plan on listening to the engine a fair amount. The Becker can accept an input for a phone or iPod, which will likely be the way I go for music. I'm running a rear seat delete so I have lots of room for rear speakers. In my tii I ran front kick panel speaker enclosures (Eurotrash setup). Haven't decided what I will do yet in this car, may run a single center speaker in the shorty console along with 2 small speakers somewhere else up front.
  4. What Marshall said, E32 master. Updates coming soon, driving, towing or pushing to the Vintage this year.
  5. Sounds like an excellent project. Please post pics as you progress.
  6. Whoa that's a cool car. Must be a screamer with that 2.0 motor.
  7. Love the throws of the NK shifter. Car is moving at a great clip. Hard to tell but it doesn't look like there's a very substantial front cage. I would want more driving with that level of commitment.
  8. Great work. Is the kill switch meant to be an additional security measure when you park somewhere? And the battery in the cabin, is the idea to clear a bit of trunk space?
  9. Sorry to see it go from Toronto, but looks like a good home
  10. Well I'm back. It's been a year or so and in that time some good progress has been made on the M2. We are close to starting it, hopefully in the next 2 weeks. The goal is to drive it this summer. In the meantime I got the racing bug and went to BMW CCA Club racing school and bought a C Mod E36 M3. The M2 - engine is ready to be dropped in, body wiring is complete, brake line routing is pretty much finished. The lines for the front passenger side caliper had to go in the nose because the engine will be back/down not leaving too much room on the firewall.
  11. Just like the title says, looking for a Becker Europa or Mexico, non working is fine. PM or email me kris.c.tobias at gmail.com
  12. Black on red NK, beautiful Rey! I see you have a shop dog
  13. Looks great Mike. May have asked before, but what color? Looks like Rey doesn't mess around with packing!
  14. Nice pics Mike. The bumperettes without the bumpers is a novel setup
  15. Wow that is impressive.
  16. Sorry had to hang back in Toronto. Have a great time. Hope to see you and the car soon
  17. Well that's something you don't see all the time. Where did you locate the alpina a4 setup?
  18. Agreed, nothing like running down more powerful and modern cars. I'm guessing that the low speed steering might be a weak point vs a rack and pinion setup. That and I guess the sophistication of the modern BMW suspension setup. Are you running an e21 5 spd? And if so, what rear end? Does the car make decent downforce above 100mph?
  19. Hi Jim, I have a custom charcoal canister made of aluminum going there. I will dig for a pic of it.
  20. Trunk setup, battery placement, fuel line plumbing and in-trunk filler. PO shaved the gas cap. Oil cooler location mock up Clearance in the passenger footwell for the exhaust
