Blunttech all the way. I'm pretty new to the 2002 game, but these guys are ON THE BALL!

I regret my first few purchases from Bavauto because Blunttech is so helpful!

Quick story, I ordered Alt bushings and new taillight lenses from Bavauto, and they sent out the parts, but DIDN'T mention that most of the bushings and one of the taillights were on B.O. So I tried Blunttech, and they quickly explained that the right taillight is NLA! Bavauto assured me that this is not the case and they would have the lens by the end of the week. Not the case. The only good thing is that Bav was pretty good about returning my money for a part thats on backorder indefinitely.

in addition to my local dealer who matches competitive prices when they can on general parts, I've had great experiences with these vendors. Their prices are pretty close if not better.

Agree

Board -> Blunt -> Bell BMW (for OEM-available parts, MIC Brian Francis)

They have a cumbersome online ordering system which requires you to open an account and have the correct BMW numbers handy (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do) but it works and turnaround is one week.

Is fuel efficiency really what we need most desperately? I say what we really need is a car that can be shot when it breaks down.

Blunt first

If not Steve then -

Bavarian Autosport (www.bavauto.com) or

Maximillian Imports (official BMW Mobile Tradition dealer - www.bimmer.com) or

Pelican Parts (www.pelicanparts.com)

Usually do the last three with 3 different tabs open on the browser, so I can compare total cost (price + shipping).

In defense of Bavarian (bavauto), I live just outside of Boston, they're in NH, so when Bavarian has what I need in stock, it's here in a day. And they have a great, easy to use web site. However, you DO need to call them to make sure that what you need is in stock, which does somewhat nullify the web site.
