  1. Had to add my buddies "Caribbean" blue custom owned and built by Lawrence Charlemagne.
  2. Hey Jim....So the question begs to be asked. With the 318is and the tii gone what are you looking at next? I bet you have something cooking. dlm ny country
  3. Don't soda blast on your lawn if you like your grass... alive. hth dlm ny country
  4. Pickelx 20 is a rust convertor. Not known by many but this is the best rust convertor I've found. Then use some "Zero Rust"on top. I found the Zero Rust better then Por15, not as brittle and sticks better. Quality epoxy paint (PPG-Glasurit-Axalta) would also work well as a protecting coat. HTH dlm ny country
  5. Stahl Header looks good. Better you invest in protecting it now since Stahl stopped making them for the 02. I'm on my 2nd one. And last dlm ny country
  6. For the mean time I would use panel adhesive instead of seam sealer. It gives you some structural strength. It will be harder to remove down the road though when you go in for a proper repair. HTH dlm ny country https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/b40066467/
  7. Put a skinny screwdriver in the fill hole and pour the oil on it. It will guide it right in. dlm ny county
  8. I'd get that big red wire in a wire loom for protection Harv. Hate to see one of your nifty cars take on an electrical snap, crackle, pop. Rice Krispies. dlm ny country
  9. Yeah I would ditch the BIlsteins if you have them. Yes, they do perform well at high speeds but they ride hard. Get some Koni top adjustable which you can tune to your spring setup. No harsh ride and the performance and ride comfort maintains at slow and fast speeds. dlm ny country
  10. Some here may know that that the 1984/85 BMW e30 318i alternator is 80 amps, readily available and a direct swap as longs you get the original mounting brackets with it. Internal voltage regulator too. Nice upgrade. HTH dlm ny country
  11. I got a Dinan Chip too Jim!! And when I did the rebuild on this I put a 4 degree advance on the intake cam. That is why I needed the GC Koni/Eibach setup to keep me on the road. Plus a custom oil pan for the turns. dlm ny country
  12. Well if you don't replace that whole floor section now, you will be back to fix it again. If you don't have the welding skills you could have someone cut and weld in the new panel. No worries on refinishing since it is just the floor, epoxy primer, SEMS rust shield or any other DTM would work great on covering the new panel. hth dlm ny country
  13. Are the inner rockers and rear suspension bushing bolt guide supporters available? That seems the way to go if encountering some serious rust inside of the outer rocker. dlm ny country
  14. Saw your Green touring at Saratoga today Barney.. Very nice. Didn't know you made the trek. Now I know about that Arlberg sticker. ****oops**** you're inka----don"t know who owns the 02 touring dlm ny country
  15. Harlem River to Fordham Road escape to upstate? Hard to believe I used to bring my 02 into the city and leave it on the street over night. Smashed passenger window 2x. dlm ny country
  16. That's a great looking car you got there. Don't sell yourself short on what you would like to get for it. Just think in 5 years what it would be worth. You've done a good job taking care of it so far, a few more years won't hurt you too much. You might even drive it some more. Find some vintage shows to go to. Good luck with it all. I've been thinking about selling my 74 (non-tii) also. dlm ny country
  17. I found that Automotive crash wrap works great. You get a whole roll for $40 and you can use it on anything. dlm ny country
  18. Sometimes no amount of over preparation beats dumb shit luck. Looks good, where'd ya get the 13 inch fan? dlm ny country
  19. Great photo(s). Amazing that time flies by as the days turn into seconds. You got your car, your friendship and you're still standing. I'll take that any day with an 02. dlm ny country
  20. Here's the oil baffle only M42. Custom made but simple in design. dlm ny country
  21. Funny how recent time has had me thinking of selling. Even the Shepard must slaughter his sheep. I feel the tugs on the anchor coming up. Life goes on. dlm ny country
