Christmas List?

I need to come up with some gift ideas for myself. I hate doing this but it makes it easier for other people to shop.

Someone posted about a multimeter from amazon.com the other day and I can't find the post. That would be about perfect price-wise but I can't find the post.

Any other ideas would be great.

You need our help in coming up with a list of presents for yourself? That would require some serious coin to finance so let's start big with a restored BMW 507 at $500k minimum.

Next?

A definite Merry Christmas to you all.

If we learn from our mistakes does that mean I have to make them all?

If you like (small) models, a couple of e-bay vendors have some very cool 1:87 (HO) scale BUB diecast BMW's (2002's, E21's, E9 coupes) for under $10 each, and TruckStop Models has a HUGE variety of HO scale cars and trucks (including vintage BMW, Porsche, VW, Volvo, and many many others) at prices between $5 and $15 each.

Harbor freight has cheap multimeters for about the same $$ and aluminum jacks for under $75; if you're not fixated on SnapOn, there's an endless variety of lifetime guaranteed Craftsman tools from Sears, etc, etc........

My loving and generous parents have gifted me numerous ill fitting and crappy looking sweaters that I wouldn't wear to change a tractor tire. My wonderful and thoughtful parents seem to have access to an endless supply of them if you're interested. If nothing else, you will become intimately familiar with the economics term "deadweight loss".

Can't go wrong with just about any Fluke multimeter.

The hard part is deciding which one suits your needs without giving you extra options you'll never use.

I have an old model 75 for home, and we use 179's and 87v's here at work. I also have a SunPro multimeter at home that does dwell and all that car spefic stuff. I think it was less than $60 at Sears.

I have already gotten my Xmas present from my wife courtesy of THE1ST3. I am getting a sport steering wheel for the '02.

My present to myself is an authentic pre-WWII Navy Pea Coat which I found after 6 mos. of searching, I am x-navy and their P-coat is the best by far. These are the warmest coats you can find - timeless styling, and I found an NOS model from 1936 in #1 condition - impossible to find today and a real collector item. Already own a timing light..

Cheers!

CD, Thanks for the memories.

Where can I order a set of Sthalflex 3011's??? Or maybe a set of Michelin MXL's (last 70 series performance tire from them)??

Reading Al's old ads is like reading a Dr, Broners natural soap bottle.

Maybe Euro Tire has a set.......... Maybe have to settle for a set of Continental CH21's.

On to the Power Probe. It's a test light, volt meter, jumper all in one. I almost never use my multi meter anymore. You hook it up and touch a wire and it will tell you if it's power or ground. Hit a button and provide 12V or ground. Comes with a case and an extra set of cables to make it as long as you need. My Mom got me mine last Christmas.

you suggesting I get one for all my electricals?!

(does it test ohm resistance for, say..... e30 sensors which seem to always die.)

when taking a look under the dash of the 02, I found how hardcore the PO hacked into the wiring harness.

(Marc, I took a look at your 02 last weekend, looks great, and its coming along!)
