  1. Trans is sold but has not been picked up as of 5/9/17 - if the sale falls through for some reason I'll remove the sold tag. Max - glad to hear the E21 is doing well - it sure was bulletproof during all the years and thousands of miles I depended on it.......

Have most of the hard to find parts needed to convert a US spec 4 cylinder E21 320i to an M20 6 cylinder as installed in the Euro factory E21 323 models - prefer sell as a package for $850 obo; will separate. Local pickup or possible delivery in the Sacramento / SF Bay area only on the transmission; other parts can be shipped at buyer's expense. I sold my E21 a couple of years ago, and don't plan to buy another one. E21 M20 factory front crossmember E21 M20 factory motor mount pylons E28 528e Getrag 265 "big six" overdrive 5 speed with removable M20 bellhousing & shift linkage (fairly rare transmission / bellhousing combination - as far as I know, only used in the 528e and possibly the 524td - bulletproof transmission behind an M20). This transmission was pulled from a very clean, 130K mile 87 528e several years ago, bench tested, and has been in covered storage since. Please note: this trans is considerably larger than the M20 bellhousing Getrag 245 OD 5 speed used in the factory E21 323, and will NOT fit an '02 trasmission tunnel without significant modifications E28 528e factory alloy rear transmission crossmember E21 "big spindle" struts & hubs (these were used on all 323's as well as 78-80 320i 4 cylinder cars) Set of 4 used Bilstein sport strut inserts and rear shocks

Pulled from a very clean 120K mile '82 320i approximately 4 years ago -, cleaned and bench tested, never installed (purchased as a backup for my '02 and E21, both of which have been sold). 3 bolt guibo flange, includes E21 shifter, Prefer local pickup, delivery in Sacramento area / SF Bay area / central valley negotiable.
  6. Quick note regarding several For Sale posts that were placed some time ago - I undoubtedly owe several people apologies for failing to follow up on inquiries regarding the items posted. Unfortunately, we had a series of family emergencies around that time that occupied all of my time and attention, and I wasn't taking the time to monitor the site for messages. Those issues have now been resolved, and I'll be back to posting ads and monitoring the site for messages. Again, my apologies to anyone it appeared I was ignoring.

Rare color (Sapphire blue only offered model years 1980-84), 198K miles, automatic transmission, cold a/c, manual “comfort” seats, original blue velour carpets, Bavarian Auto carpet mats, professionally tinted windows; excellent door & window seals, no water leaks. Pioneer head unit, speakers and new JVC 1000 watt 5 channel amp (all components other than head unit from original high-end Alpine / MKS component audio system included). 16x8 BBS RS wheels (silver centers), Yokohama 225/50x16 AVID tires (fronts new, rears about 40% tread depth), complete tool kit, jack, wheel chock and BBS center cap wrench; original BBS/Mahle 14x6 cross-spoke alloy wheels and center caps included. Everything works (power windows, sunroof, central locking, cruise control, original power antenna, etc), recent alignment, valve adjustment, distributor cap & rotor, oil & filter change; 15k since last transmission fluid & filter change, no transmission issues – runs great, drive anywhere. Wife’s driver last 9 years, always garaged, 100% reliable. Minor wear on driver’s side front seat outer bolster, dash cracks under dash cover, clear coat on trunk lid starting to dull, evidence of spot repaint on left rear quarter (best guess is scratch repair when near new - no indication of body repair).   8. That may be, but I need to clear out the '02 and E21 leftovers, and I'd rather see it go to a member of the community who can use it now rather than wait forever to try to get top dollar, especially if I don't have to crate it and ship it.
