Recommended Posts

I've been wondering about this since participating in the FAQ:

What is the age of the FAQ 2002 owner and how many cars did you own before your first 02?

I'll start it off: I'm 42 and have owned (8) cars before I bought my 73.

66 Sunroof Beetle

75 Std. Beetle

81 Civic 4-door

88 Accord 4-door

92 Accord 4-door

71 VW Beetle (still have)

2000 Accord V6 Coupe (still have)

2002 M-B C240 Sedan (still have)

i'm not gonna tell you how old i am but i'm old and i can't tell you how many cars i owned before buying my 1st o2 because i lost my marbles a long time ago...but it was too many for any sane person to own.....

and still is

Might have something to do with your "backyard" spray booth antics. I applaud your wrenching capabilities.

I turned 30 last month. So far I've had................

1. 1988 Ford Tempo. Complete POS! Turned me off to American cars forever!

2. 1989 Nissan 300ZX. Loved the car! Ran it into the ground. :(

3. 1987 Cadillac Eldorado. Loner from my Dad. It was PINK!!! Hated it.

4. 1990 Nissan 240SX. Loved it. Gave it to my girl and she loved it too. Sold it in April of this year. Will buy another one before I take a dirt nap.

5. 1998 Nissan 200SX. Mega economy car. Got me 38 MPG on a trip to Vegas last year. Love it. Begging for suspension upgrades.

6. 1976 BMW 2002. When I bought it it had a nice interior, working A/C, looked nice and was 100% stock. Now the interior is stripped, A/C gone. Ireland suspension, Bilstein sports. Corners like a MOFO! Who needs a shrink when you have this!!! Will never sell.

7. 1987 Nissan 300ZX. My Dad's old Z. Soon to be mine!!

David G.

1976 BMW 2002 "Diana" Smog? What smog!!

1998 Nissan 200SX "Sayuki" Can't argue with 35 MPG!!

1987 Nissan 300ZX My Dad's old Z will soon be mine!!

I must have owned 50 cars or more...

Camaros, Cougars, Z cars, pick up trucks, Mercedes, VW, Volvos, Buicks, and a bunch od bimmers.

I have never owned a Toyota, or a Porsche. (Or any of the exotics) I hope to stay away from Toyotas, but I will eventually acquire a 911.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books.
