I agree that the wood wheel's just a little pretentious in a 2002-

but I would happily drive something like #2 if it was in the barn and

had the right spline count and a turn signal cancelling nubbin.

Because, really, for me it's 98% about how it feels.  The

MooMoo that came in the racey car is nice,

as is the one that came off a parts car and is in the other racey car.

The 320 wheel in Jenn's 2002 is nice-

but the heated wheel in the E39 wagon is the nicest.

t

it's all ergos, ergo I eschew aesthetics.

+1 Toby.

Not too big (stock 400mm).

Not too small (350mm).

Just right (for me) @ 380mm.

Me too...I prefer function over form.

And that's why I'm keeping my "diving board" bumpers!

For the all black one, that's the sort of thing they use in oval race cars and the foam grip is very much utilitarian and durable. Not pleasant to the touch with a bare hand.

The wood classic style ones I have no experience, I'd say try it and report back but get it from someone with a good return policy.

How about using a BMW metal hub sticker?

Larger metal roundels (for gas tanks, etc.) are also available from BMW Motorcycle sources.

that was my first thought too. I'll have to measure it and compare to the actual horn button material thickness etc... There may or may not be enough to machine and or too small for a typical 2002 stick on emblem etc... May have to look at key chains or yeah maybe motorcycle roundels.  I always like the challenge of retro fitting to make appear stock.

But what do I know

I jumped!

380mm, wood (not my perfect choice)

Plan is to machine the horn center to fit a roundel.

cost $86.00

I'll report more when I get it and attempt to install.

stay tuned.

Ha-

I came back to see if you had!
