Provence Tour 2022 in pictures

Was a brilliant tour, our biggest yet but still small and manageable. Fantastic variety of cars and power plants, the weather was sublime, the roads incredible, food delicious, but most of all it's the people that really make this event. Many laughs, many stories and more friendships made. Can't wait for 2023.

 

Oh, and an almost 100 percent reliability rate - only a few niggly issues had to be dealt with here and there, all were fixed on the fly and all cars made it home. Pretty impressive considering most had at least 3,000kms to get here and back, and we must have done getting on for 800kms of hard charging on small roads.

 

 

 

 

 

James worked night and day to finish his coupe for the tour, right up to the day of departure. It has an m44 and performed faultlessly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cara and Steffi only came on the first day - there's only so much puppy sick you can clear up from the back of a touring.

 

 

 

"UNBEATABLE BMW" was a UK only sticker and my first Tii came with one. I had some made for everyone, in French, Dutch and German.

Steffi the dwarf doberman found a lamb carcass (wolves have settled back here nicely over the last 20 years). Became the perfect adition to Russ's ratty Tii Touring, which was dragged out of a chicken shed and put back to mechanical health for this trip.

Looks like great camaraderie and a whole lot of fun.  Is James' 2000CS coupe painted Florida?  Don't think I've ever seen a CS coupe in that color.  Very 60s and very cool.

yeah, florida green. I think it was orginally polaris, but had been some other colours along the way. Really suits it.

There's only mine on the blue touring. They're 14" e30 steels on the silver one 🙂

I've been contemplating joining as well, but haven't gotten my hands around the 2000+km drive just to get there. But the setting and the company would probably compensate for the pain of getting there...
