Beautiful 1973

Yesterday at Canepa's Cars and Coffee there was a wonderful 1973. The owner, Art, has had the car since new. Installed a six  and five speed a while back. Nicest 2002 I've seen.

Nice paint and six cylinder conversion.  I like the rear badge modification.

 

IMO could be better finished inside the cowl and heater box.

Those guys are nucking futs. I could not wake up and drive to Santa Cruz that early the other day! Will try to go to the next one. Always love seeing their lineup at Laguna Seca.

I think that looks like the rustoleum leak sealer, it's a product that you can spray on the inside of your house gutters and it seals them from leaks, it wouldn't be a bad idea to spray in the heater plenum area and you can also paint over it, so yeah I suppose that could have been done here.

i like the rear battery holder, it's a nice installation.

Art's car is one of only a couple very correctly done 6 cylinder conversions from A&E Performance back in the day. 

 

I arrived late to the show as well, just before 7am, and was waved off to other parking.  It was interesting to watch the guys in control of who got in after the lot was "full".  Certain cars were still being waved in after the lot was "full".  It was like a door man at an exclusive night club being selective on who gets in.   Sour grapes maybe, but my little 72 did not make the cut.

Yeah, I got there very early, didn't want to park next to Art, my car looks bad enough with out comparison.

 

Only three events this year at Canepas. I've made all of the them since they started.
