Ok, Ok...just rubbing it in for those of us stuck in the gift from our northern neighbors--an Alberta Clipper complete with snow...

We warmed up quite a bit today, woke up at -36 C, it's a balmy -30 C now.

calgary area is marginally better, maybe 5C warmer.  weatheroffice is calling for a chinook by end of the week, so that will turn everything into a muck pit, but atleast it will be warmer, ill definitely take muck pit over -30C!

Hi Laura,

is that 1 degree F .... or 1 degree C ??

Cheers,

Carl

... Fahrenheit.

And I'm from Cali.  I'm not used to this craziness.  It took me an hour to un-bury my car from snow...only to have it not start, because the battery froze solid. It bulged on the sides from where the water expanded....sigh.

Carl -

I'm from SoCal... most recently from Pasadena, but I grew up in a small town near Oceanside

..and OMG that meme couldn't be any more accurate.  So. Much. Snow.  Raking leaves is a b*tch too. They keep falling while you're raking, and it's always from your neighbor's tree.  Sigh.  Did I mention I miss Cali?

One of the chores living in the COLD country is to have the battery tested and cables looked at for problems before Thanksgiving each fall.  Spent my first 22 years near Fargo, ND on the MN side.

A radiator shop is a good place to take a leak.

I have no idea what I'm doing but I know I'm really good at it.
