Continue to check goodies off the list. HVAC system removed in this car…Added neoprene covers for the cowl last night, finalized ride height, and threw on 15x7s + proxes R1Rs. Suspension gets upgraded once I can find a place that has everything needed in stock…good times0855B6A5-663E-4524-8A99-FE09258ABE42.thumb.jpeg.10b4ca6e733f54932d5933e648ebc1cd.jpegB3311729-5887-4540-8C93-C7A9ADECC0CA.thumb.jpeg.c2e435acd1d8ff09d4532635ff13378f.jpegCD54752B-3F23-4AA8-B56A-F557E141AD1A.thumb.jpeg.09fe6fe61ac77729a9208f759f56c66d.jpeg 72A44DEB-5491-441A-821A-151ABC5B28E5.thumb.jpeg.eb923517c9fad4c2cf88063647c37a1b.jpeg

The covers look great however there are hood water drains under them now.  Will that work out ok?

With the help of a Roundel column written by @Mike Self I ventured into my apparently infamous '72 wiper/washer/turn signal switch last night.  As my wipers do not operate this is the final thing to check.  As it turns out, it appears that the little rocker switch and the contacts in there just need a little bit of cleaning / lubing, I'll work on that more later today and hopefully it'll be successful.

I should install these prototype AST 5100 coilovers with Matt Pekin Arms today.

Coilovers will be officially offered for retail in the coming weeks.

Update - well, the wiper switch is "working" but only if I press on the rocker switch more firmly and hold it in place, i.e., it won't make the contact on its own.  I suspect that the little contacts in there are dirty / corroded and its very difficult to access.  I've tried contact cleaner but so far that's not helping.  I'll play with some other ideas.

Will be looking for another (passenger side).

Ireland Engineering sells a new new remake of these, I installed one on my drivers door, I had your same issue of not going all the way up due to Floppy Rivet/Pivot

I'm going down the Weber DCOE rabbit hole just a little.

Also sandblasted my spare tire rim. $6.00  turned out great. Tried to prime it and primer ran like carzy.

Thinkin 41° day in Michigan was a tad to cold.  Should of known better. Will sand it Saturday and try again

Forecast is for 62° then snow on Monday.

am aware of the Ireland ones, but hope to save some money!

A used one could be ok but it’s basically a 50 yr old spring that could snap at any time even if the rivet is ok, this was one of the jobs I really disliked, taking everything apart and then adjusting the window height and dwell angle PITA

but that’s just me
