Brendan Lopez wrote for European Car Magazine for many years and wrote a number of articles.  As I recall, he had an AlpinA A3 car, was the real deal assembled at AlpinA and then brought over here.  There was an article on it in European Car Mag .... link to old FAQ thread on it.  Good info in the article above by the way.

Not to digress, but EC regularly had useful / interesting articles in it on o2's (probably because of Brendan Lopez)......10x more than the useless

(IMO) BMWCCA Roundel.  I haven't looked at one in so long I probably shouldn't judge - maybe someone that still gets them can chime in.  Is there anything useful or interesting being printed in the Roundel as it relates to BmW 2oo2's?

Hey thanks for posting this.  I appreciate it.

I thought it was "totally intense injection" but I grew up in California, so I may have thrown "totally" in there myself, and maybe "intense", too.  :)

No problem Scott!  I'm glad I found it. I wondered where I had filed it for years and then located it in the most obvious spot...

Best,

Geez.  Think we have discussed this before Mark.  I like the Roundel and Bimmer.  It is hard to please everyone especially since lots of folks don't even know about the Model 2002.  Both Mike Self and Rob Siegel have done great articles and stories featuring the 2002.

Thanks for posting the article.   I noticed it mentions the cone shaped screen on the inlet of the electric fuel pump is not removable.  If you're careful, you can pull it out for cleaning.  Mine had gunk in it.
