Tii Fuel Lines - Interest

BillWilliams

Recommended Posts

Bill gave me the distance between the nipples of the #4 fuel line, exactly 402mm - looks like Thomas is spot on...

We are working on the shipping quote right now, but I am expecting the price for the first 50 sets to be $150 +-$2 each.

The price for the next batch will go up about $13.

Individual #1 lines will be $48.

Hi Mosman58,

The first batch is already full, but the second is not much more expensive if you could organize a group-buy with about the same volume.

For this here is a group-buy special price, and within the EU you have to pay additional 19% VAT (if you don't have a valid VAT-ID).

Normally you can also order a single set later in my shop (www.shop-fordv6.de), Normal Pricing will be probably about 150€ incl. VAT + Shipping. But the shop will have to wait until all buyers here were satisfied.

UK is normally not so expensive to deliver to - if you could check the fitment of one set at once (!) at your own car and show pictures....would be very useful and probably more than only an advantage for you.

... if this is possible please contact me directly : info@Liebl-kfz.com

Just FYI, I attached a list (could not attach a spreadsheet) with everyone that showed interest in the tii lines, in the approximate order of posting in this thread.

This is not a final order list, orders can only be placed by making the payment, once we determined the price.

Thomas,

I measured 405mm in my car (74Tii). I measured with a stiff Piano wire which I threaded thru all the components, but probably has a bit of error.

Byas

Thomas, I also measured 405 mm with a complete engine on a stand.

The photo showing the coupling has been an issue of clearance for many years with the new(er) bmw lines. We have in the past rounded the sharp end off or removed the material for a square.

The work with the new lines and mold is excellent. This will solve those 2 issues of fitment. Thank you.

I emailed Dieter more details for our order and measurements.

Hi Bill,

nice and exact measured, thanks a lot for the perfect photos.

it seems there are several tolerances, which cause in addtition the 405mm distance others measured.

could make the line a bit longer, but at 402mm the lines run exactly parallel to each others and to the manifold's flange, and the #3 line has about 5mm space to the swivel nut at #2 injector. would be perfect....

I will check tomorrow how many mm Space to the coupling is lost when the distance between both nipples is 405mm. perhaps it is still enough with the lines now.

I did miss a few - including you, you are correct. But again, the main purpose of this list was to get a feel of how many sets we might need.

Thanks

Ok, time to make a commitment.

I have discussed a few shipping options with Jerry (one of the domestic shipping volunteers), and determined the following price list:

One set $152

Two sets $146 each

Three or more: $140 each

Just line #1: $52 (US shipping makes this expensive), $43 if you also order a complete set.

This includes the lines (one set includes all 4 lines), shipping from Germany, customs, repacking and shipping to your door, and a very small margin for changes in the Euro exchange rate.

I am now accepting Paypal payments - PERSONAL please to avoid fees - to the following email account:

deetman@sbcglobal.net

When you pay, please also include your address, or send me a separate email.

Please email me with any questions.

Good Morning,

I've checked the clearance between the lever and the line #4 if distance between pump an injector is increased to 405mm.

It could match, but clearance is only about 2mm....

... so I will make a further mold and increase the lenght of line 4 a bit !

This will solve a possible but only contingent problem. Fitted on Models with e.g. 402mm Distance will cause the lines 4+3 to come a bit lower as in the fotos - about 2-3mm.

Looks well also.

Thomas

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,
