  1. Max has them. Just received an email from them on their availability, yesterday.
  2. Steve.....thanks for posting the picture of Jimmy. I took several pictures of him working on my engine but of coarse since they were taken with a film camera, I cant find the pictures or the negatives.
  3. I used Korman many years ago but only for a mechanical restoration. He did everything mechanical for me. I had the car shipped to him for disassembly then shipped to a body shop for body restoration. After the body was finished it went back to Korman for mechanical assembly and finishing. They did a fantastic job for me and kept me in the loop everyday. I talked to Ray so much that when I stopped by his shop about a year ago just to say hello, he recognized my voice as I walked into the shop and asked for him. When I was there I did see a lot of the same mechanics that worked on my car years ago. Ray was quick to point them out. I have a friend that sent 2 BMW's to him recently and he was happy with their work. Would I use him again....Absolutely. As John said above I used Vintage Motor Cars for my Interior. The are fantastic but way too expensive and since they are very busy it took a long time to finish. Bottom line do what Jim said above. Stop in and talk to Ray. He is super friendly and he will walk you around the shop and let you see all the work in progress. Then you can make up your own mind. Mike

  7. I had an interior restoration shop try to repair my door panel trim and they said there was nothing they could to return the finish to chrome. Then I got a call from them saying that they would like to try metal duck tape and cover the trim. I told them they were crazy and didn't want them to do it. When I picked up the car I saw that the door panels were perfect. I asked where did you get the new chrome strips from. They said Duck Tape. They put it on anyway and said if I didn't like it they would take it off. Needless to say its been on there for 15 years and still looks great.
  8. I used Ingo for my Blaupunkt for my 72 911. He wasn't cheap but the radio is perfect.
  9. My 74tii has a passenger door trap mirror. It was a dealer installed option. Also they installed it free due to screw up in their delivery process. Mike
  10. Sorry for the late reply. Here are pictures of the can of VP fuels that I use.
  11. I use Ethanol free VP Racing Fuels every year when I store my cars for the winter. VP has a preservative already in it so no need to add anything else. I have been doing this for years and years and never had a problem.
  12. On the surface looks very nice and most importantly it has the thoroughly discussed hole
  13. Thanks..............185/70VR15 Pirelli Cinturato CN36
  14. John....1972 911. The tire size is 185 VR 15.
  15. Longstone must have had a run on these. I just received 5 of them for a 72 Porsche I am restoring. I couldn't pass up the great exchange rate either.
  16. I would agree with others that this isn't worth $25,000. Maybe 10-15K. Also there is something about the wording used in the add that makes me think it could be a scam. I guess it is possible that whoever wrote the add might be someone who English is a second language. Only buy if you can go see it in person.
  17. NickVyse It doesn't look drilled. To me it looks like it was punched out but I wont swear to anything at this point. As I said in an earlier post my hole was there when I brought the car home from the dealer. I remember asking the service guy the day I took it back for its first service, what it was and he didn't have a clue. What ever happened to make the hole had to be done before I took delivery either by the factory or dealership.
  18. Steve...I figured that you needed something new to work on. if anyone can get to the bottom of this it is you. I distinctly remember on my first service back to the dealer I had asked the service manager what the hole was for. He replied he didn't have a clue. I had forgotten all about it and never knew what it was used for until this thread started. Another 2002 mystery. Yes....VIN 2782393.
  19. You should be able to double click on my picture and zoom in on it. Let me know if you cant.
