Cibie Or Hella H4 headlights?

I'd like them to have citylights. What should I get? Where should I get em?

I have always used Hella H4's in the past.

I could make my own relay harness.

I just received my pair of Bosch H4s and bulbs from the bus depot (VW site), about 62 bux shipped. Haven't put them in yet so I can't comment on the light output.

I've had Hella H4's in the past and now I'm running Cibie H4 on my tii. I prefer the Cibie's over the Hella due to better light pattern and they seem brighter but I'm only running 55/60W bulbs.

Cibie or Marchal are the lights of choice--as pointed out, better beam pattern and a sharp enough cutoff on low beam that you really don't need fog lights. The really cool Cibies are the old incandescent ones with concave lenses--no bug splats!

The only advantage to Hellas are that the lens is flat; if you have the factory accessory headlight wash/wipe kit, it works better with a flat lens.

+1 for daniel stern (and he sells both Cibie and Hella, and will give you info on the pros and cons of both.)

+2

I've bought my Cibies from Daniel Stern. They're awesome. Daniel gives great technical support, but he's a one man show, so you may have to exercise some patience if he happens to be out of town or something like that. This is not a complaint, just a head's up. I recommend him highly.
