  1. In the no like camp. Can't wait for the weather to be right. I miss rowing a five speed and listening to the exhaust and webers sing. Hell I was at a stoplight today waiting and heard the starter fire up in car next to me when light turned green. That's even to much technology for me. I can appreciate it but no thank you.
  2. Thanks, I'm in the know enough to be dangerous category I think .
  3. I have used a mixture of LED and incandescents before with no problems. I have the NAPA EL-13 flasher relay. All LED now for two years
  4. If you went with 15" I would go with Toyo Proxes R1R or the Advan AO52. Depends on what you want out of you'r tire. I'm leaning towards a set of R1R's but reviews complain that their loud wonder if anyone here has them. Not a lot of choices in either 13" or 15". https://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?zip-code=49004&width=195/&ratio=50&diameter=15&rearWidth=255/&rearRatio=40&rearDiameter=17&performance=ALL
  5. Do we need to add Matt's adjustable lower control arms to the mix? Pricey but Stunning workmanship. https://www.mattpekin.com/
  6. Speedhut gauges showed up today. I think I'm okay with enough wire to get them done.
  7. My Son works for a shop that does mostly Muscle Cars restoration or Street Pro stuff. Two year waiting list and plan on a minimum of $150k to over 500k. Boys and their Toys. ?
  8. Replaced my broken Weber float on my DCOE's. I screwed up the float measurement first try, a little chemo brain I think. Corrected my mistake changed my chokes from 34mm to 33mm and a different air corrector. Car is running strong and likes to rev up high. ? Come on Spring.
  9. I use white appliance paint on suspension and non internal engine stuff. I have a small touch up bottle that has the little brush inside.
  10. I purchased a Kumho at Discount Tire last week to replace my 28 yo spare tire. It even holds air.
  11. Redid mine last Summer with good results so far. Cleaned everything up and wiped down the gasket with acetone or denatured alcohol , can't remember what one. I used the black 3M on doors and trunk. before Walmarts finest clothes pins.
  12. I don't see this as a good thing. ?
  13. Johnny , I think you did well. Its a beautiful car . Makes me want one. I understand the smile factor for sure. Again Congrats and many happy miles in it.?

  16. New spare and went to tune my DCOE Webers and found a broken float. No idea how long it was broken, pretty sure I didn't do it when taking apart. Ordered new float and a couple of gaskets. Will try to solder it for a spare. fresh spare
  17. If your measuring to the millimeter. You need to be on perfectly level ground or find someone with a set of race scales.
  18. Another little project done. Blasted primed sanded and painted with Wurth silver wheel paint. Guessing the new spare will hold air better than the 27 year old spare. Before After
  19. I'm going down the Weber DCOE rabbit hole just a little. Also sandblasted my spare tire rim. $6.00 turned out great. Tried to prime it and primer ran like carzy. Thinkin 41° day in Michigan was a tad to cold. Should of known better. Will sand it Saturday and try again Forecast is for 62° then snow on Monday.
  20. Had the spare tire broke down. Tire was from 1994. I plan to sandblast the rim and have Wurth paint to respray it with a new tire on order.
  21. Metal has memory. Sounds like it might be oil canning a bit. I would guess the work to get it to lay correct would impact the paint. No idea how far down the rabbit hole you would want to go. Long shot but maybe a really good paintless dent removal guy could work it enough to get you corrected. Won't cost anything to have someone look at it.
  22. Chamonix with a sunroof. One of my favorite combos. Congrats on getting it back. My first tii was Chamonix with a sunroof. Tried to buy it back with no luck. So jealous ?
  23. I think he was going for the Japanese Bosozoku cars.
  24. Its made by Malpassi in Italy. Filter King is what its sold under. Mine is a fuel regulator/ filter. I have the pressure gauge that you can get with it. Model # FPR 006. I had their regulator only and the little plastic gas filter but wanted to tidy things up. They have a great reputation and it looks cool and more period correct I think. With gauge was around $100. or so. Works great to adjust fuel pressure for my DCOE Webers. I got mine off eBay from a UK seller JP4mance they were cheapest by quite a bit a shipping was fast.
