  1. The tank was in pretty good shape. No inside pictures. I used Raptor bed liner on the bottom side. Very happy on how it turned out.
  2. I had one dipped for something like $40. It turned out great.
  3. Sure looks like it. I can't tell where its from. Mine was out of Latvia iirc.
  4. Ordered Kooglewerks new exhaust system to go with their header that I have. Street version Center exit. Can't wait.
  5. Shipping isn't cheap but I got a spoiler from them in a week tops just a couple months ago.
  6. This piece ? https://www.restoration-design.com/store/product/BMW415R
  7. shaa-muh-nee says the goo gl Whatever, one of my favorite colors.
  8. Test fitting the Panasports. Things appear to be going as planned.
  9. I got it off eBay maybe three years ago. I looked but didnt see any. There are some that are similar. It matches my steering wheel.
  10. I'm way to old for all that under dash work but got it done. New Gauges and stereo installed. Next up Panasports and Recaros. ?
  11. I can check the red/white stripe wire for power. I also have a inline fuse wired into the stereo and one for the lighting. Thanks for all the info on this.
  12. The green/white wire goes to a connector next to the steering column and is always hot. I'm using that for power all the time. I"m using the purple/white by hazard switch for power when key is on. I just went out and looked again for the light power and found three grey/blue wires that had the connector on it. So Thank You for making me go back and look again. So everything is covered. Light wire connection I will use. Power on all time runs through this connector. Passenger side of steering column. Green/White wire has a black cover over it in picture. Zip tie because a side tab is missing.
  13. Thanks John and Mike . My 02 is a 1973 I should have mentioned that. I had the hazard switch disconnected when testing the connections, bad idea. The green/white stripe wire did show power ALL the time when I hooked up the hazard switch. So I can use that for power on all the time. The brown /green stripe wire still showed no power and what I thought was a old style in line fuse holder was just a male/female bullet style connector. Will pull the bare wire and call it good. I do have illuminated heater controls so I will tap that for my lighting. Should be good to go. ?
  14. Installing a new stereo and some Speedhut gauges and have a couple of wiring questions. Power all the time for stereo will come from a positive block I have in the engine compartment. This will have an inline fuse also. The power when on/running will come a purple/black stripe wire off the flasher connector. This is what the PO used to power old stereo with no known problems. So I think I'm good for powering everything. First question is where is the best or easiest place to tap into for Lighting the stereo and gauges. I also have a couple of unattached wires under dash and would appreciate any info what they are ?? This wire purple/black stripe for power when car is running. Wire is blue after connection. These wires are just loose under the dash. Brown/green stripe with a white stripe inline fuse but shows no power when tested. Other wire is green/white stripe and shows no power when tested. Green/white stripe wire comes off the connector on right side of steering column. Hanging wire with black cover is the green/white stripe wire. Any help would be appreciated I've searched with little luck and I get Chemo Brain when looking at my Wire Schematic. Pretty simple stuff I'm sure. TIA Jim
  15. So I messed with the oil pressure fitting for a couple hours past two days and can't get hole for the gauge fitting to line up to clear the distributer or valve cover. Try one washer then stacked some washers with no luck. My oldest walks in says let me try. First frickin try right where I want it to be . Oy Vey really. I hope to finish underdash wiring Thursday and should be good to go. Sometimes the simplest things. ?
  16. Installed tapped oil filter mount with temp. sensor. Changed the oil also. Oil pressure sensor fitting of course lines up wrong even with three washers. Might try filing a thread down or just find a new fitting.
  17. Guessing the forum format. Agreed Like todays clean look. These old eyes appreciate it.
  18. I was just getting used to the new avatar format. Format with nothing on the left is easiest for these old eyes. Thank You Steve for the effort on such a great site.
  19. Definitely going down the rabbit hole installing new gauges and stereo.
  20. Not saying you didn't get scammed just weird no AlfredBMW shows up anywhere. Sorry about your trouble.
  21. Agreed, I would drink a beer and gloat just a little bit. Great color
  22. Had my Son make me a couple of brackets to mount the NAV/Stereo for my Kooglewerks console. Just something simple I asked for. He did that and shorten the oil temp sensor on a lathe. It's good to have an in house metal fabricator.?
  23. Yeah scam, you did good in asking. Saved yourself some serious money.
  24. Agreed not a 245. Curious how does he want payment ?
