  1. thanks for the tip Peter i have a bouncy tach too... when i bought the 02 it had the battery relocated to the trunk. It is grounded to the body, should I run a wire from the negative terminal to the block? side note: my low voltage indicator 'L' light up on the dash last time i drove it .

  3. received a response... he will likely setup another group buy this weekend
  4. This is what I ordered: Transmission Rear (output) Seal - Part # : 23 12 1 205 340 + if needed: Shift Linkage Seal - Part # : 23 12 1 228 443
  5. not an expert, just taking what someone told me and passing it on... (i was told) if the vent is blocked changing seals might not solve it. side note: I changed my selector seal and output seal about 2 months ago, the garage floor has been dry since. I was leaking from both spots.
  6. will do, waiting on my new phone, went in the pool with my iphone last week, like a jerk. thanks for the info... I think that is a good solution, i checked quickly and found them for $30ish. I'll see if I can craft something before ordering them.
  7. Upon closer inspection (maybe on flatter ground) the suspension seem relatively level. I also noticed I have the 2 dot spring pads, switching them out for 3 dot would give me 5mm but I would like to raise the rear about 1/2 inch. Suggestions? The reason for the raise is the rear sits a little lower than i would like (minor reverse rake). I could lower the front coil-overs (but that would be too low for my liking). i bought the car with this suspension setup... what do these spacers look like, how thick are they? maybe i could pick some up if they cheapo.
  8. thanks... where are the "2 pins" he added? i wasn't able to identify them in the photo.
  9. thanks for all the answers guys. how exactly can i inspect these?
  10. The previous owner cut the rear H&R springs... found out 2 coils where cut while reading around on 2002faq... Thing is it looks uneven, the passenger side is lower than the driver's side. I prefer the height of the driver's side. Is there a way I could raise the passenger side slightly without spending much? spring pads, etc? Would it be best to remove both springs, cut the taller one to the same height as shorter add a thicker spacer or something. thanks dudes, Anthony
  11. is the search currently not working? it always returns 0 results. I'm searching the forum. I even tried searching for "2002" just to test... 0
  12. She's finally drivable!

  13. thanks.. ya I misread it. stupid work interfering with my web surfing!
  14. FYI. I'm ignorant on the subject of belts (actually on most subjects) but... $270 for a set of 4, are the rears 3 -point?
  15. thanks a lot. I just used this thread to remove my diff. Cleaned it, 28 years of road dirt :s Gave it a shot of rust paint, since it was out Re-sealed it and filled it. I'm just waiting to put it back in because I used the paper gasket which I'm a little skeptical about. I figured I'd put it on top of cardboard for a day and see if any oil leaks out. I doubt it will leak now but I fear it will when i put it back in.
  16. I think I found the 2 circlips in question. They're located in the center, where as I was looking along the sides of the diff. daron_in_ kinda confirmed it for me as well.
