  1. Nice car. More important is how are you doing? Back to the car, who stitched the leather wheel cover? I have wheel skin but it looks like a 2 yr old installed it.
  2. Soft scrub works just as well with little smell. Will the turkis Tii be at the Pittsburgh Gran Prix in July?
  3. You're right they would look much better in my car. [emoji6]
  4. I moved from upstate NY and agree. So now one less there. I'm in Pittsburgh now and there are only a few in the area. I don't think it's a popularity thing it's just that most "local" cars have simply rusted away.
  5. Great find. I'm in Pittsburgh so let me know if you need help retrieving this beauty.
  6. No way. I saw a change in the program in the later episodes. I liked the not so professional feel of the earlier episodes better. Almost a YouTube like feel.
  7. Welcome. As mentioned in some of the other responses the biggest impact on getting my 74 Tii running well was to replace every rubber hose in the system with new. This got me to the point of being able to adjust the system to run pro properly. I chased issues for months. Now the car is running great and is stable. Good luck. Lots of good advice and history on this forum.

  9. I cut mine and split it with a chisel then hammered it out. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. I did mine from under the car. I removed the steering box for a rebuild at the same time. Not really that bad at all.
  11. Are the wheels still available?
  12. I am considering an all new complete system. I still need to drive the compressor. I'll post a WTB ad.
  13. I would like to add AC to my 74Tii. Is there an alternate way to drive the compressor other than the impossible to find Tii pulley?
  14. My car is a 74 Tii manufactured in January of 74. The factory could have used the old design (triangular) parts and cut in the later version when inventory was depleted.
  15. The part in the original post is a cover for the battery where it protrudes through the front sheet metal.
  16. Not sure I can help but I have mine set as stock. I had similar problems but attributed it to vacuum leaks, got tired of chasing it and finally replaced all the lines with new including the tiny one that connects to the intake under the tuna can. Mine runs fine now. I still have a slightly erratic timing but I know that the distributor is worn. Next project. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. I use a strap type oil filter wrench from the top. I remove the front end of the air filter and negative battery terminal. Not much room in there.
  18. 3M black worked perfectly for me. Clean is key Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Just closing this out. Finally finished the rebuild of the front suspension of my 74Tii. After getting replacement bearings everything went back together pretty easily. If I had to do this over again I would drop the front subframe. I was a bit intimidated by that option so chose to work under the car. Can't imagine it's much more work and access to everything wouldn't be any issue. Oh well, it's now ready for spring in NY. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. That's the plan. Just wish I would have noticed earlier.
  21. You can see that the bearing came out with no damage. Washer/nut order was ok.
  22. Does the staking retain the bearing during use or is it the large washer? I'm not sure that the hardware is correct. Any idea what diameter the large washer should be? Should it be bigger than the OD of the bearing?
  23. Bought through Rogers Tii. Paid for BMW parts
