  1. Sure. It was this: http://www.bmw2002faq.com/topic/149616-wtb-headliner-scraps/
  2. I'm getting this today when trying to leave feedback for a current WTB listing.
  3. Ok, update for those playing along. Firstly, I haven't had time to get my WBO2 sensor hooked up. Life has unfortunately been in the way. With that said, I did get a 38/38 Weber put in, so problems are bit different now. I guess at this point this thread is just for me to catalog my changes and to hopefully help someone else in the future. Current setup is 38/38 with 45 idle jets 1 1/2 turns out, 150 MJs and 180 correctors. Car runs well and will get to redline, but only if I'm easy on the gas pedal. If I floor it it will stumble until I ease the accelerator off a bit. Checked screen at pump and cleaned it out, screen in carb is clean and pickup sender is clean as well. I'm at the point now where the issue seems to be either with the fuel delivery in some way (still need to hook up the pressure gauge and see what it's doing when it stumbles) or it's to do with the ignition. My MPG last tankful (or thereabouts) was ~20mpg, which led me to think that I'm still running rich, hence the change to 150 MJs from the prior 155 MJs.
  4. Having grown up in OH and having lived in NYC for 9 years, that's precisely why I moved to CA. The "Snowpocalypse" of late 2010 was the final nail in the coffin for my living in NYC.
  5. AFAIK there's only one that's -08/73 and one that's 08/73-. Maybe he's referring to that?
  6. Email sent re: Heater Valve
  7. Looks like the idle adjusting screw. Part #58 on the below diagram. Not sure right off what the default setting is.
  8. I have a small tear that I'd like to patch, so if you have some headliner scraps laying around please let me know. Location: San Jose
  9. I used to get my bolts from boltdepot.com when I lived on the East Coast. They have that same bolt for only $.68. http://www.boltdepot.com/Product-Details.aspx?product=6753
  10. I prefer one of the lighter weight Shorais or similar in my bike, but to each their own.
  11. Anyone that is discouraging a PPI IMO must have something to hide, so I'd steer clear. $10K is too much to give to someone for a car with such an unknown history.
  12. I'm going to channel @@mlytle here http://www.bmw2002faq.com/topic/81542-need-window-regulator-help/
  13. If you aren't familiar with this guy's reviews you should be. This one is about a "stanced" E36 M3 and is pretty on point. Not really 2002 related, but close enough.
  14. Another take on this is to use the favicon from the site and somehow incorporate that. I think that would look quite good.
  15. Ray @ Elephant Supply makes one such shock bar: http://elefantsupply.com/?page_id=59#!/~/product/category=650320&id=4800169
  16. Yep, you read that right. One of the carbs is complete, while the other is in pieces and needs a few things. You'll get everything you see in the pictures below. Complete carb is jetted as such - primary 150 MJ, 150 AC / Secondary 190 MJ, 160 AC - Idle jets unknown. PM or post if interested. Location: San Jose, CA
  17. If if makes you feel any better in my experience it's been every single motorcycle/car forum I've been on, so don't think it's limited to just the FAQ.
  18. There's a digital copy on eBay for $10. Just search BMW 2002 Handbook.
  19. I too find it ironic that the site doesn't have an actual section titled "FAQ". I realize the technical articles are basically that, but still.
  20. You know if we changed the search default from whatever it is in search forum/topic to 'Google' this would be a simpler solution. Someone should suggest that...Oh, wait it has been suggested. http://www.bmw2002faq.com/topic/140098-change-search-default-behavior/#entry962652
  21. I suppose it could just be a raw spade terminal, but I assumed it was insulated similar to the female side. Perhaps I'm making this more difficult than it needs to be. :/
  22. Was about to suggest that. The searches done outside that return sub-optimal results. Case in point, yesterday I wanted to research sale prices of the "32/36" and if I search via Google I get a ton of results (3940) whereby when I search via same string it doesn't handle the "/", so changes search to "3236" which yields a lot less posts. I guess if you can make the Advanced Search search via Google that would suffice. Just seems the forum's search isn't as sophisticated as the Google search and thus misses out on a lot of pertinent topics.
  23. Speaking of connectors...I wanted to find the proper mate for the terminal/connector that looks similar to this on my '74 (one of the old SMOG connectors), but cannot for the life of me find the male connector name. Anybody have an idea? I've search this forum and the Interwebs and this connector is the closest to what it looks like.
