  1. looks to be a slide throttle FI motor used in an open wheeled styled car. They were also small time open cockpit sports racers that ran them as well.
  2. Those pics make it look worse. The fact he left out the 8" hole in the headliner will anger some ebayers. That car needs more than a "dash and driverseat" interior wise. A rusted up m10 turbo engine usually indicates water damage. Sure this thing didn't sink at one point? I imagine the kfish pump is in the same state as the body. Again, why buy a ball of snakes that's going to take 20-30k to straighten out with a edgy title? I'm secretly high bidder btw
  3. that guy's got 15.5 on the hook and is reserve not met still?!?! Reminds me of someone who will say. NADA book value on this car that needs restoration is 36k. I can't take less. I don't know with those pics how much more the guy thinks he's going to get. Guy doesn't even have a US title and the only reason I can think for that is he doesn't want to pay the sales/import tax. Take some pics of the interior and show me the red gauge pod, the boost gauge, and that the headliner and door panels aren't full of holes and you may get a real buyer. There's a nice "like new" 74 turbo with 5spd on 2002ad for $55k. If they think they can rebuild the motor, and straighten/paint the car for under 20k, they're mistaken. Just buy what you want instead of building a never going to be as good clone.
  4. I would rock that hardcore.. looks like fun...
  5. stick a screwdriver in the breather port. Get a good grip and lift up. then take a razor blade and start working the area under it.
  6. +1 best advice in the thread.. Bring two spares and you won't need them. Bring no spares and you'll have two flats. Load range D or E tires for your trailer only. None of that cheap sissy stuff from walmart. Cheap trailer tires are the downfall of any trip.
  7. Have used them in M10's and extensively in nissans. Top quality product. Would use them again.
  8. that's the right specs and bolts for them. lucky find man. Yeah should be no reason not to use them especially since they're sized and recon'd by carillo.
  9. I don't see carrillo laser engraved on them. Sure you didn't get "carrillo like" rods? http://www.maxspeedingrods.com/ those come to mind which is the price he charges. needless, if they're carrillo's they should have a custom bolt in them, they do not use ARP2000 or ARP L19 bolts, they use carrillo brand fasteners. Nice find if they're genuine. If not they'll still work for your motor, the cheapie manley's have worked just as well as the expensive arrows rods. I'm starting to think the companies all buy them from the same place and brand them differently.
  10. slather motor oil on them to prevent them from rusting. I kid I kid
  11. being in medical, i don't think you understand the kind of people that utilize hospitals. The hot 18year old rarely comes in. The 350lb homeless girl who decided to come in when she couldn't "urinate any more due to the scabs" is more likely what you'll find. Favorite item for the men is our druggies. They'll come in all dehydrated and at the beginning stages of shock. Not a vein to be found in their arms because they've blown them out shooting up drugs. That's the reason they're in, because they ran out of places to shoot up so they used their penile vein and blew that out, it abscessed, and now is rotting off.
  12. It's really 3 screens but that's my "desktop". 1 27" center with 2 22" sides.
  13. I know irelands double valve springs are 2x that of stock. Don't know about schricks. Stocks were light. Like 35 closed and 80 open if I recall correctly.
  14. quoted for the truth. Never had one stretch or fail. Reused them several times. Post up where in the OEM that says they're one time use.
  15. is it a lightened stock one or a chromo light light one?
  16. You take enough till you start looking at it and go... "how much do I like my ankles?" Maybe 4lbs is what many people get. Much easier to get an Aluminum or chromo flywheel than pay for someone to drill holes in yours.
  17. It looks like a great tool. Just never can find a use for it. So I asked my friend, who is a mechanic, why he has one? "To take pictures of engine damage for insurance companies without having to pull the head." Sure he uses it to take the odd view to determine whats leaking in the back of some oddball motor where access is terrible. That's not 02's though.
  18. one man's good condition is another mans "crap". Post pics of your wheels
  19. I've got a bmw (no space) cca vintage badge on mine. oldskool stuff
  20. Congrats on the girl!! She'll have you wrapped around her finger in no time!
  21. I watched that game. Twas boring. If your distributor is fixed, meaning no centrifugal advance then I've run 32 degree on high octane fuel. 36 degrees on race gas. you'll hear the starter start to not like that advance but the motor sounds like a raped ape.
  22. I find it hard to believe that a 2002 rear drum could generate enough braking force to lock a wheel at 70mph. Unless you find a solid "AAA HAA" when inspecting the rear brake. I would inspect all wheel specific drive line components such as stub axles, and CV's.
  23. factory manual calls for hypoid gear oil. Grease will work as the engagement of the items is limited.
