Does anyone have pixs where the side mirrors were painted either the body color or black?

i doubt, unless you roughed them up pretty good that paint would stick to the flag mirrors or other chrome or stainless mirrors

Convert 72 tii from manual to automatic - check.

Give said 72 tii to teenage girl - check.

Put rear camera screen in tii so said teenage girl doesn't have to look behind her when backing up - check.

Delete trim - check.

Do dash in carbon fiber - check.

Paint mirrors - check.

What's next? Body-colored plastic bumpers? An airbag steering wheel??

Are you SURRRRRRRRE the little lady wouldn't prefer some nice little e30 to match the vert?? ;-) Heck, for the money you're putting into that resto, you could even make it an e46!

I was only exploring an option with the dash...most likely Just Dashs or leather recover...sooo... don't lose any sleep.

Wait until you see the custom ac system and touch screen nav built into the stock center console.

Will keep the mirrors chrome on this ride but I have a 72 Inka tii next up that I am working on some design concepts.

Ohhh...removing all the side and reflective markers too for all ya haters.

I bought these on Ebay about 6 years ago. I have seen a passenger side mirror recently listed. I believe they were factory for an E21.

OEM flag mirrors were available in black, not sure how easy to find as NOS today. I have a 'shadowlined trim' 02 these are spares for (not the best look, but it is what it is...)

I've got the factory e21 black flags on my car and love them! I believe there's a passenger side avaliable on ebay now. After 7 years, they still look like new. Very durable factory paint seems impervious to chips.

Do you have a pix of the shadowlined trim?

It is an option since the window frame and b pillar chrome trim is about $300/ side...it is ridiculous. The window trim on the car is straight just pitted. It could be sanded and painted matte black like on a modern BMW.

Yes, black flag mirrors have popped up on eBay time to time.... There's a right side there now...

BUT they'd be totally wrong for your early Inka Tii. It needs only one trapezoid mirror on the driver side.............
