My older brother works for a vintage race prep / restoration shop. One of the shop's clients owned one of these, and dear old brother was kind enough to take me out for a "shakedown".....one of the most awesome cars I have ever driven in. Very light, very nimble and ultra quick. A beautiful piece of motorsport history.

Hemmings Sports & Exotic Magazine has done an article on the Jaguar (SSK I believe). It was tired but still wild looking.

Steve McQueen is cool but my vote would go to Paul Newman as the ultimate car owner/driver and actor. Everything I've read about him was very positive.

If I had something cold to drink, I'd raise my glass to both of them.
