Fred Snook/BMW of Monterey License Plate Frame

My '91 318i has a Concord BMW frame, as well as the Concord BMW keyring used by the prior owner, which includes a vehicle service number on the back.    It's cool to have the package to go with the binder of receipts, many of which are from Concord.    Glad I didn't have to subsidize all of the maintenance history.

Let me know if any of you want a Weber frame, or both.   They came as a pair, and are in similar good condition, just not super vintage.

I've got two of them, if interested in the pair.  $30 for one, $25 each.   It might be a good placeholder during your friend's quest for a "period correct" frame.  If I had to guess, these look like 80's-90's era frames.

JB, is it one for $40.00 or $30.00 or $25.00 for two?  Could it be there is a post from another confusing me?  Easily done.

So now that Unicorn season is open......how about a frame from Helane Motors in Alhambra? Super small, short lived dealer where our '71 & '73 came from. Or Ruheman (sp?) in North Hollywood, where my '74 was bought?

I have a Ruehman in good condition but it will need letters painted.  Send me a message if interested.

Sorry for the confusion in post above ^ about Weber Fresno frames.   Probably trying to work, parent, post to this thread, and read about DCOE tuning at the same time.  While making coffee.

I had listed in the classified at $40 each. No sale, so I dropped the price in a clumsy fashion.

I meant to say $30 each or $50 for the pair.     One frame is now spoken for (PM replied, HBChris).

The other Weber Fresno frame remains available at $30, not including shipping.   PM me if interested.

Chris and I are buying for the same guy.  I'll take the other.   Can you send a request through PayPal?

Was going through car parts boxes in the garage and found these.  The Marvin Benn frame came from the 1967 1600-2 I previously owned.  The Autozentrum frame is from my still owned new purchased 1974.

i believe that the Weber Motors of Fresno were originally Weber Motors of San Leandro.  I have one of those early frames.  The only frame i'd trade it for would be one from Mill Valley Imports; a precursor to Sonnen Motors of Mill Valley which was a precursor of Sonnen Motors of San Rafael, who are now known as BMW of San Rafael.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
