A few images from MidAmerica 02 Fest 2019...

1-3:  traditional all-cars pose (~74 cars)

4:  lunch in Rogers, Arkansas

5:  one of many such trunks

6:  pollen: every day, all day long

7:  one of several tech presentations:  an '02 being being equipped with an electric motor; connected directly to the transmission; gears will shift as usual (really).

NICE!!!

I SOOOOOO wish I made the trip ... but my car was there (virtually)!

it is the red car (Verona) being converted to electric in the last image.

Hoping to have at LEAST one Moment car @ MidAmerica next year.

Shoot me a PM if you want access to the build blog!!!!

Geoff,

How exceedingly cool!  Yes, indeed, your car was quite the topic of discussion.  The Moment dude (forgot his name; I made him a Nolet's gin and tonic) represented Moment and your car well.  Gonna be a big hit, Geoff.  You must bring the car.

Thanks Larry

Marc did indeed mention the conversation ... and as usual .. the drink

He and I have been best friends for almost 30 years ...

ANYWAY ... we'll figure out how to get a Moment or 02 to the 2020 02 Event ...

Seems like it just needs to happen, right?

I hope someday somebody puts a drone up over one of these gatherings.

One participant said that drones are not nice at these events because they might crash (for whatever reason, operator error, wind, etc.) into a car.

A radiator shop is a good place to take a leak.

I have no idea what I'm doing but I know I'm really good at it.

That and the camera lens would be covered in pollen.

Given that all proper drone launches are immediately preceded by the call of "Pull!" and, if all goes well, punctuated shortly thereafter by the sharp report of a 12ga. shotgun and the subsequent rapid return to the earth of said drone, I would say this is probably not the idea sort of place to see them used. But then I suppose others may view drone use rather differently than I do.

With respect, this one captures the essence... it's the people, more than the cars.
