Bolt on is preferred in Japan.

The old car is especially.Moreover,

it is quite difficult to change the rear brake to disk because of the vehicle inspection system.

It is necessary to calculate brake performance and prove the bracket strength.

So I decided to make custom bracket but it was expensive.

Now we are promoting a project that uses a transmission that is not getrag245 to make it 5 speed.

Awesome. Looking forward to hearing about that.

It is planned to sell with a little improvement.
In Japan, we sell only as a kit including caliper and rotor due to the car inspection system.
We have never been sold overseas, but if you wish, we will sell it.
We are also considering selling only brackets to overseas.

Has anyone here duplicated the Alpina rear disk setup, which used rear calipers from a 914-6 GT.

Regards,

Steve

Hi Steve, not 914/6 GT but 914/4 calipers and a not vented disk, as shown in homologation pre 71.

Ok can you clear one thing up for me.  Slotted disks are noisy right?  I got a pair of slotted and vented rotors for a 740i sport and they were noisy as hell.

I will eventually do this to my car, but am weary of slots and dots.

I made a custom bracket so that it can be set up without machined the hub.

Disc rotor machined is necessary.

Center and inner diameter of the disk rotor are increased.

Caliper and rotor are genuine parts of Mini and Opel.

Disc rotor diamatar is 240mm

what specific calipers and rotors are used?

what specific machining is needed for the rotors?

Caliper is R50 Mini and rotor is Opel Astra G.

Rotor is machined as shown in the drawing.

Oh, that’s quite interesting!

Is your second photo suggesting that I can purchase a pair of caliper brackets, and then I would simply add 914 calipers and disks?

It was not my plan to sell such brackets, but give me a bit time. And yes you can simply add 914 calipers and disks I use are E30...I have the number somwhere....
