Purists beware!  Look away now, if you can!  You have been warned!   ;)

OMG Department:  THIS is how you do a burnout!  Thomas Nyman's 2002 with a Supercharged S14!  Yes, we have the video! ;)http://baurspotting.blogspot.com/2015/05/this-is-how-you-do-burnout-video-of.html

Here is the car.  From Sweden, it is Thomas Nyman's 2002tii with a supercharged S14 engine.

Yes, that is fire on the pavement, and in the wheel well.  Yikes.

You know where the fuel tank is on the 2002, right?  Between the gas cap and the .... er.... flames!   :)  OK, now that we have your attention.... yes we have the video!  And Thomas Nyman, the owner and builder, is a friend of ours.   ;)

I was rooting for the whole abomination to go up in flames! I lost interest when the fire extinguishers arrived.

(sigh)  oh ye of embryonic vision and sagacity .....

you aren't seeing this guy do a burnout, nosir, not at all.  What you are seeing is this guy doing the only thing that would convince his wife to let him have that new paint job he so desperately wants.

Cheers,

Carl

Carl,

I'm replaying this strategy with MY wife: "So let me understand, Hon. You did something called a "smokey burnout" with your car, and now, on account of this smokey burnout -- which ignited your car -- you need a new paint job. I don't think so!"

Regards,

Steve

Conserv, you just need some extra salesmanship ..... which is to say, why is the question being posed in the first place ??

"Gee hon, I sent the car out for a tune up and instead of washing the car like that Ford dealer does, the fixit guy painted it.  And who says quality customer service is dead ??"

Cheers,

Carl

Car needs more than a paint job. Just wondering - is there such a thing as euthanasia for cars?

As an Australian, that was a shit burnout mate. You Americans have low standards.

i can not speak for anyone else, but this American, doesn't have any "burn out standards" just not my thing.

to each their own, but it is damn silly if you ask me.
