body and interior Paint Recommendation For Inside Of Bumper

I have a chrome bumper that's pretty rough.  The inside of it is very rusty.  I'd just like to stop it from getting worse and do minimal prep.  What kind of paint should I use?

I personally cleaned it, roughed it up a bit, taped off the chrome, and used silver rust paint. Dupicolor, nothing fancy

Can you brush on some POR?  That is what a PO did to lots of items on my car (not too rusty).

Rustoleum Rust Converter.  If you have an old car - gotta love it.

Yup, rough it up with wire brush, sand paper etc. then brush on some rust converter, after you could either brush or spray some black or silver paint, stick with a rustoleum type. I like the idea of the silver like jgerock suggested, less noticeable . Fred

Seems the factory must have sourced chrome bumpers from two different manufacturers--some bumpers came with the insides painted with light grey paint, while others were painted with silver paint.  

 

I just wire brushed the insides of my disassembled bumpers gave 'em a coat of Rustoleum anti-rust primer followed by a coat of Krylon dull aluminum.  Still look good after 15 or so years.

Eastwood Rust Encapsulator, Silver Finish. Clean up the rust a little and spray on. A lot easier than POR15.

Rust encapsulator it is.  I did my first cage in POR--never again!  Tough as nails, but a pain to brush on.

I have also seen factory bumpers painted white on the insides...

I have had good luck in similar projects using Rust-Oleum Rusty Metal Primer, followed by a Rust-Oleum top coat color.  Sticks well, prevents more rust.

Rust Bullet worked great. Its a PU paint and tough as nails.

The only think I could find at the HD was some Lok-tite stuff that converts rust into a paintable surface.
